|Description: experienced players enter for a lottery to choose who can run for mayor. However many we take, we work down until we get 2 candidates and have a real 2 party election. Mayor gets a top-hat with a mayor pin, which allows them to broadcast on all frequencies at once, and to talk to large groups of people.

Discussion (Official Mayor Idea (lottery))
Little overpowered, don't you think? Jerran1
:well it is an elected official, and they would get to talk to anyone with a radio, maybe have they're text in a different color. It would be interesting to have a single figure to lead the human community, then again no one has to listen to him.JoshCz (talk)
::But wouldn't metagaming theoretically be able to accomplish the same goal? Besides, the mayor would probably take some effort to code in, and could abuse his powers and spam people. Jerran1
:::of course a mayor could have they're own page on the wiki, but being able to multi-broadcast in-game could be very helpful for in-game projects and more community activity, plus the mayor is elected so its up to the players not to elect someone spammy. We could add a fail-safe though to further prevent spam, but if we elect someone who takes the game seriously, that won't be a problem, btw adding 3 ~'s will put your signature. ~ ~ ~ without the spaces.JoshCz (talk)

How To Make a Discussion

Adding a New Discussion

To add a general discussion topic, please add a Tier 3 Header (===Example===) below, with your idea or proposal.

Adding a New Suggestion

 • Paste the copied text above the other suggestions, right under the heading.
 • Substitute the text in RED CAPITALS with the details of your suggestion.
 • The process is illustrated in this image.

 • Name - Give the suggestion a short but descriptive name.
 • Type is the nature of the suggestion, such as a new class, skill change, balance change.
 • Scope is who or what the suggestion affects. Typically survivors or zombies (or both), but occasionally Malton, the game interface or something else.
 • Description should be a full explanation of your suggestion. Include information like flavor text, search odds, hit percentages, etc, as appropriate. Unless you are as yet unsure of the exact details behind the suggestion, try not to leave out anything important. Check your spelling and grammar.

Please add new discussions and suggestions to the top of the list

Suggestions

Weapons from Museums

Timestamp: Jerran 06:17, 11 April 2015
Type: New Item drops
Scope: More weapons, more use for muesums
Description: I think that Kevan should add (assuming he ever considers updating the game again) museums of piracy and medieval history, and we should be able to scavenge weaponry and obtain clothes from these museums.
