Description

Moorman Plaza is named for Buford P. Moorman, who moved to Malton in 1903. He and his family built Moorman Plaza in the same year, which mostly involved pulling grass from it's roots and dealing with, what the record describes as "a very nasty bush which seemed like it didn't want to come out." Mr. Moorman died soon after completion of the road, and his grieving family moved out of the city, never to return to see the street again
