Zerging concerns

Hi guys. I'm here because I finally noticed you have a wiki page. I'm just a zombie who's been happily eating you guys and receiving your headshots outside that building we've been fighting for (won't mention it here in the public wiki, since I gather you don't want it discussed publicly).

Couple days ago, Potassium Hydroxide, who's listed as a "Responder" in your "Task Force 1", came out and gave us zambahs a very moving speech. I saved it somewhere. The gist of it was a complain about how "some in this horde have been found to be zerging in the area," and pointed as an example at DieHarmanz and DieHarmanz2, admittedly a very zerg-like couple. Potassium Hydroxide rightly noted how "they were created on the same day, not more than 5 minutes apart." And yeah, I've seen at least one of them around.

I want to state I'm just a feral, have no clue who these guys are, and most certainly don't condone this behaviour. I don't even know the other zombies attacking the building - though I like a couple of them a lot already. Heh.

Now, since I'm already here, I have a question for you. These guys are members of your group:

They all wear your group tags, they're listed in your wiki page (two of them in the same "Task Force", even). I can't help but notice that these accounts were also created within minutes one from another, and of course, there's the "potato" relation. And I know I've taken headshots there from at least two of them, maybe even all three.

Care to explain?

Cheers. --Sophie ◆◆◆ CAPD 08:42, 11 July 2009 (BST)

It's another perfect example of how only those that are zergs themselves actually go out of their way to condemn the other side for zerging. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 11:07, 11 July 2009 (BST)

Hello,

Apologies for the late reply. I was unaware of this talk page - I didn't know about such a thing in the first place, or that someone had posted something on it, until Hashk kindly directed me to it! I'm totally incompetent at anything wiki-related, and am having problems at simple stuff like making a signature. But anyway, I digress - thanks and sorry once again.

Now, there's been a pretty comprehensive discussion regarding this issue on Hashk's talk page. I believe it is more than enough to clear this matter up. I've attached some excerpts that I feel are the most relevant to this matter:

  • We are a group of classmates of 14 people who come together during our breaks and after to maintain the kirby complex, as we know it. You may think we zerge, but i assure you, we play by game rules. We find it ridiculous that you accuse us as a zerging person, just because you cannot bring the place down. You may think we are zerging, but we either communicate via msn as a group char to dispatch orders or by using the school computer lab when we meet up. We are named 92nd Response Unit because our high school class is 092S, and it was done to reflect that. -Firite
  • The namings - there's a deep story behind each. For instance, "Shirai" actually means white in Japanese. The names were meant to be oxymorons. As for the Potato guys, well, it started off as just a "Salmon Potato" in another game. They then thought it funny, and decided to make names with (fish) Potato -Establish
  • Well, this happens to be three guys from the same gaming club who are with us and like to make practical jokes, sry about that. I'll try to split them so they don't seem to be all at one place when they like to do things together. -Firite
  • We don't mind losing a battle in-game. It's happened more than once already, and I'd say we're kind of used to it! But what we can't accept is people mindlessly spewing accusations of us cheating. This is especially so for accusations without any evidence whatsoever. -Establish

I understand that the similarity in names could have caused some (or a lot) of confusion. In addition, it's possible that the coordinated strike timings resulted in some suspicion, which is perfectly normal. I'd just like to say that we do not zerg. I sincerely hope this clears the matter up.

Kirby Complex

I've moved this to 92nd Response Unit/Kirby Complex as it's only significant to your group. I've fixed the links and changed the report out for the junkyard one since that's the location.

I'd like to remove User:DangerReport/Kirby Complex to clear the DangerReport namespace out of non-location reports. You could add in other location reports on the page to have complete coverage of the area. If you would rather keep that report though, just say so. -- User:The Rooster RoosterDragon User talk:The Rooster 04:23, 31 July 2009 (BST)
