The Malton Waterhole

You are inside the Waterhole Pub. Dim lighting highlights the bar area and a display case full of firearms and ammunition. The MPD shield is set prominently behind the bar. The room is filled with smoke, and in between snippets of conversation you hear MPD veterans give each other the low-down on their recent beats. Occasionally, you hear the clink of glasses as cops join each other in toasts to old deeds and long gone comrades. Arnie Malden, the Waterhole's 60-something bartender, is standing at the bar, wiping some glasses.

Events

Feb 19 2008: A linguistic expert joins the search for Mitch's cure.

Feb 13 2008: Doctor Nero digs through the floor creating a tunnel network between the Waterhole and the MFU coffee house, MCDU bar and grill and MEMS meeting place. The hole in the floor is soon covered with a trapdoor and locked.

Feb 12 2008: After being separated from the rest when rescuing Mitch, Smokey One joins the group back at the 'hole.

Feb 11 2008: BLTs for everyone!

Feb 1 2008: Work starts on a true cure for Mitch.

Dec 10 2007: A crew of several Department of Emergency Management cops, fireman and medical staff enter the cellar. They don't find Mitch but they do find an old tunnel network. After much wandering and stumbling in the dark the team find two pitiful victims of the latest terror to stalk Malton's population. Having tended to the wounded civilians the group moves on only to find a chamber full of a lesser form of vampire. Mindless zombie style killers. After a savage fight the reason for these creatures presence becomes clear. They were placed as guards for an entrance way leading deep into the bowels of the Earth. The team find a huge chamber with Cultists in the middle of it preparing to sacrifice Mitch to their god. After a drawn out battle the DEM crew come out victorious. The grab Mitch and make their escape, sealing the entrance to the tunnels as they go. They headed to a MEMS hangout for medical treatment and MEMSkylla before returning to the 'hole.

Dec 8 2007: Salvation arrives in the form of MFU agent Idril carrying the possibility of a cure for Mitch.

Nov 10 2007: The curse of The Death Cultists shows it's effects as Constable Mitch Mustang transforms into a creature of the night and tears through the pub. Driven into the cellar by dawn's arrival Mitch is imprisoned.

Oct 31 2007: A dense fog settles across Malton, several times banging and thumping is heard from outside but the occupants pay no attention, distracted by chili

Oct 11 2007: The unexpected and unexplainable appearance of an AH-1 attack helicopter outside the Waterhole.

Oct 6 2007: The first MPD Waterhole Cup is nearly held but comes to an abrupt end as, "death cultists stop play."

Aug 26 2007: The Waterhole is left empty as people from near and far rush to attend the MEMS Block Party. Many return drunk and muddy.

Aug 14 2007: As the rest of the city falls into ruin the Malton Waterhole miraculously stands untouched.

Jun 5 2007: A Military recon drone crashes through the roof and abducts Officer G Mandello, dropping him through the roof the MFD hangout.
