You are Benjamin. It is early evening and a group of survivors have come across your safehouse. You heard the polite knock on the door. You let them in, all 9 of them. They seemed so desperate.
What was it that brought them here? It may have been the faint light that brought them near. One lightbulb on the top floor, the 15th floor, safe from you who would flick its switch behind a barricaded door. They are strangers to you. Over the next hour you get to know them. You learn their names. You learn something about each of them.
Another thing: Saor Eireann didn’t close the door properly. He was last in; the locking mechanism is unusual and modified. It wasn’t his fault. You close the door; no harm was done. But the dead followed. You couldn’t count them all. What will you do? |
