Let me know if you have any issues following what I've said here or if you need any other help with this stuff. I know the Recruitment page is sometimes a lot to take in and follow, so if you have any questions, I'd be more than up for answering them. {sig}

Recruitment page

Stop hand.png Recruitment
Your ad has been removed from the Recruitment page because of rules violation, specifically one or more reasons, discussed below. There is a guide here. Please re-add it if you are still active and recruiting.

I know that's a scary looking warning thing, so let me run through what it means with you.

Rather than the text and images of your ad actually going on the Recruitment page, you need to create and use the {group}/Recruit page, and put all of the text on that page, instead of putting it on the Recruitment page itself. What I'll run through with you is how we can get the text and images from that page to show up on the Recruitment page.

Here's the code you should probably put on the Recruitment page (if you check other groups' code on that page, you'll see it all follows this same pattern):

==={group} : {group type}=== {| | {{:{group}/Recruit}} ~~~~ |}

Take note of the four tildes (i.e. ~~~~) as well. Those are used to provide your signature and a timestamp of when you post the ad. You're required to update your timestamp at least once every two months, otherwise your ad will get pulled off of the Recruitment page. Just a heads up.

After that, on the {group}/Recruit page, you should put this text that you originally had on the Recruitment page (I've modified it slightly by adding some required stuff):

{original text}
<noinclude> </noinclude>

Anything you add to that page will get dynamically inserted into the Recruitment page, thanks to that first batch of code I gave you.

You also need to be careful about using headers (e.g. ===Header===) in your ad. Headers are not allowed to be used in advertisements, since they screw up the table of contents on the Recruitment page. Check the Help section of the wiki for information on changing the size of your text. It'll let you make it look the same way, but without messing up the page for everyone else.

In addition, I noticed that the images you used didn't conform to the rules specified at the top of the Recruitment page. Keep in mind that all of your images, together, must be 56KB or less in size. You can find out how large an image is by clicking on it and then looking at the information on the page that comes up. Also, you advertisement must be 800px or less in height, and shouldn't cause horizontal scrolling on an 800x600 resolution, so if your images are too big, they'll need to be shrunk down to fit on the page better.

Let me know if you have any issues following what I've said here or if you need any other help with this stuff. I know the Recruitment page is sometimes a lot to take in and follow, so if you have any questions, I'd be more than up for answering them. {sig}
