CHARACTERS
Lunar Aphelion
- A cultured young lady with a disarming smile. She's wearing a tailored suit with thin gray pinstripes, and a pin on her lapel reads GORE CORPS.

I originally joined UD sometime in '07 to run with a small group of friends, and Aphelion was my main alt. But the group slowly atrophied as people got bored or quit for other reasons, and eventually I ended up an unaffiliated survivor randomly wandering around Malton trying to help out in major sieges and whatnot. But I learned the hard way that trying to hold malls is a futile endeavor, and once I hit 41, playing felt doubly pointless. I lost interest and eventually quit.
Sometime in March '09, something--I don't remember what now--reminded me of UD, and I unidled Aphelion in a surge of nostalgia. I decided that if I was gonna play this game, I wanted to join a group to have some sense of direction, and I really wasn't interested in being a survivor. I wanted to see the game from the other side, but moreover, I was fed up with survivors being apathetic and poorly coordinated. That said, playing a straight-up zombie didn't really appeal to me because survivor gameplay is much more complex, so that left PKing or death culting. I was particularly interested in the latter because I wanted to go pro-zombie, and of all the death cultist groups listed on the wiki, the Gore Corps seemed like the classiest and most effective. I mean, you get things done when you work with one of the oldest and largest hordes in the game. And luckily for me, they happened to be recruiting!
Being part of the RRF is a blast, and the Gore Corps is a fun bunch of people. I'm very happy with my group choice, although everyone in it but me is a huge douchebag and I'm going to eviscerate them all. (Yes, really. Yeah, that's right, you better fucking run, assholes!)

Prima Giedi
- A small, birdlike woman with dark hair and an alert gaze. Her movements are quick and precise, belying the boredom in her voice. Once an astrophysicist, these days Prima marks the trajectories not of stars but of bullets.
There's a bit of a story behind this one. I created Prima back in the day because I felt Aphelion's Military class wasn't nearly nerdy enough, and I ended up as a dedicated reviver for Stanbury Village's Yeoman Park. Aside from Aphelion, I decided to make new alts when I rejoined UD so they had something to do while I figured out if I wanted to join additional groups, so I left Prima idled out until some jerk I've known for way too long ran across Aphelion and recognized the handle. I'm from the same site as LUE and happened to know him, but neither of us had any idea the other played. Long story short, I got dragged into the Mostly Harmless IRC channel, and we had a conversation along these lines:
ZiP: OMG I KNOW YOU
Me: OMG I KNOW YOU TOO
ZiP: HEY YOU'RE COOL JOIN MY GROUP
Me: NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT, I HAVE THIS ALT
And good times have been had by all since. Especially by the Dawn Patrol!

- This crazy-eyed woman sidles up to you, glances around furtively, and opens her lab coat. Rows and rows of syringes hang on the inside of the front panel, each in its own little pouch. Hey man, you wanna buy a hit? Good stuff, man! Real good stuff!
Holy shit, Aphelion's playing a pro-survivor character? Can it be done, or will she start reviving PKers and shooting people?! (I can't help it! I see the red HP and my finger just....slips....)
