Dan's Shitlist

Thought I'd give you a heads-up: if that is for Daniel Kilbane, it's gonna get merged with your page and deleted. If it's for a specific group, it's gonna get merged with their page and deleted. So you may prefer to do the merging yourself, if you want it formatted a specific way. If it's for a specific group, you could also move the page. (If you do that, please nominate the redirect for speedy deletion.) –Xoid STFU! 10:47, 3 June 2006 (BST)

Alright. Sorry about that. ^ ^; Just trying to make it themeatic but sure. Hehe. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by GrayscaleRain (talkcontribs) .
I think that {{Custom Title}} will achieve what you're after there (thematic name). Follow the link for for details on how to use it. –Xoid STFU! 10:53, 3 June 2006 (BST)
When you don't want a page anymore, don't just blank it, place {{speedydelete}} at the top, and list it for speedy deletion. This here — M/SD — is a quick link to the page. –Xoid STFU! 11:02, 3 June 2006 (BST)
Just saw that you listed it. Nevermind then. –Xoid STFU! 11:03, 3 June 2006 (BST)
I'm getting the hang of this. XD --GrayscaleRain 11:04, 3 June 2006 (BST)

Speedy Deletion Round 2

Do NOT recreate Daniel Kilbane again, or I swear, I will report you for vandalism. –Xoid STFU! 07:01, 12 May 2006 (BST)

Previous message may be found here.

I'm getting two strong impressions here;
  1. You don't understand the difference between moderators and regular users.
  2. That you didn't understand what Brizth was saying.
As to point 1, you said that I deleted it. Regular users cannot delete pages, undelete pages, protect pages, unprotect pages, or edit protected pages. There are probably other limitations that I've overlooked, but those are the major ones.
As to point 2, reporting Daniel Kilbane to Speedy Deletions can not be considered vandalism — It can be considered frivulous, but in this case it clearly fell under Speedy Deletion Eligability (Criterion 9). Please understand that since this was the is the 3rd time someone has reported Daniel Kilbane (check the speedy deletions archive), and since Brizth did explain quite well what was allowed and what was not, I couldn't see how you recreating it the third time could've been counted as anything but ignoring the rules.
Since I'm now of the impression that it wasn't malicious, but that you did not understand Brizth, I'll give you as much info as I can;
  1. Redirects to user pages from pages like GrayscaleRain (note the lack of "User:"), or from character's names to user pages also count under the "user pages in the main namespace" rule. (See the policy on namespaces.)
  2. Please read up on the Speedy Deletion Eligability guidelines before taking any further action, as it, along with the namespaces policy document, should give you enough information to not get barked at again by a grumpy arsehole such as myself.

In reply to your message to Xoid: Yes, User:GrayscaleRain/Daniel Kilbane is completely ok. Just don't recreate Daniel Kilbane (non-user page), even as a redirect. --Brizth mod T W! 23:12, 13 May 2006 (BST)
Heh. Brizth's got you covered. So why am I writing this, and why am I talking to myself… contribs++. –Xoid STFU! 06:25, 14 May 2006 (BST)

Speedy Deletion Round 1

"Daniel Kilbane" page was deleted per various criterion of Speedy Deletion guidelines. The content of the page is below. You can create a new page under your own Userpage (User:GrayscaleRain), for example User:GrayscaleRain/Daniel Kilbane. I also deleted Dr.SL page per criterions 1 & 2. --Brizth mod T W! 12:13, 7 May 2006 (BST)

NOTE: content is still there, but is now commented out. Feel free to erase this note and the content if you've already copied it. –Xoid STFU! 10:48, 3 June 2006 (BST)

Army of Dave Sign-In Sheet

Please merge this with Army of Dave and nominate it for speedy deletion. Thanks. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 10:54, 3 June 2006 (BST)

Suburb Reports

Could you please edit your suburb report on Ruddlebank? Your long list is out of format with the rest of the reports. Sonny Corleone WTF RRF ASS 18:08, 15 August 2006 (BST)

Thanks. Keep up the good work in Ruddlebank. Sonny Corleone WTF RRF ASS 18:32, 15 August 2006 (BST)
Not a problem. ^_^ --GrayscaleRain 18:34, 15 August 2006 (BST)

Your Updates

Please note that suburb updates are to be impartial and should lack all words identifying with one side or the other, such as "I" and "we." Also, it would be very much appreciated if you toned down your updates; all the colors are unnecessary. Thank you. --Banana reads Scoundrell for all of Yesterday's News, Today! 18:14, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm just a little overzealous upon coming back. ,'P I'll get rid of all the colors save for the zombie level reports, sound good? Also, just curious but why can I do reports in character? (Not arguing of course, just asking why.) --GrayscaleRain 21:31, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Reports are intended to be non-partisan. You're free to do them in character, if you can figure out a way to have them neutral. --Banana reads Scoundrell for all of Yesterday's News, Today! 04:14, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Neutral how? XD I'm a survivor trying to help other survivors, being a doctor and what not (Quincy is anyway). I'm entirely neutral when it comes down to the living. (Hell I'd help the zombies too if they wouldn't eat me.) I'm not a newscaster, after all. All I mean is that, I'd appreciate it if you didn't change the language of my reports... kind of eliminates the point of the character in the first place. I just want to help after all. --GrayscaleRain 08:40, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
I understand your concern, but please bear with me. Even though you may be a survivor fighting off the zombies, showing a clear favoring of one faction in a conflict, which is typically Survivor vs. Zombie, but may include PKers, BHers, et cetera, extends that conflict to the suburb pages of the wiki, resulting in edit wars and bad feelings amongst users, which is a situation that would best be avoided if at all possible. Let us take this edit of yours as an example. First of all, the use of I shows that, although one doesn't know who you represent without further reading, you clearly identify yourself as a member of some force in a conflict. Now, for some more specific examples. Let us take this one: "If you have syringes, folks, I think a few of our friends need your help." This statement obviously shows your leaning towards the survivor side. Another: "Offering heals as always if you can find me and I have the FAKs. It's good to be back!" Once again, it shows your obvious interest in the survivor side in this conflict. I'm sorry for having to be so harsh about this subject, but one step at a time. --Banana reads Scoundrell for all of Yesterday's News, Today! 17:49, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Alright, I understand what you're talking about. I'm doing my best, but if you want me to keep my zombie reports neutral as possible, then I'll try. ^_^ I'll keep my survivorist leanings to the Edwards General page where they belong. XD --GrayscaleRain 19:16, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
An excellent update. Thank you for understanding. --Banana reads Scoundrell for all of Yesterday's News, Today! 20:16, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
