  • Editing the Wiki — If what you want to talk about does not make sense under the other headings — Important Stuff, harsh Criticism, Praise, or Pointless Chatter — then it belongs under this heading.
  • Criticism — The complaints department. Serious grievances with me go under this heading. If it's only minor, put in under Pointless Chatter instead.
  • Praise — If you want to tell me what I've done that impresses you, place it under this heading...
  • Pointless Chatter — Should speak for itself. This heading is for non-serious stuff that is not directly related to editing the wiki.

Quick question about my warning

Point taken on the warning.

I thought I was okay because it was made very clear at the top of the talk page that contributions to it may be removed if the group members decide it is offensive or derogatory. I didn't realise that this was considered bad form.

It's worth noting that the discussion in question was not a single polite query, it was the most recent part of a long and exceedingly boring chain that was leading nowhere. It was clearly stated that we, as a group, were no longer interested in communicating with them. Everything had been said more than once and it was fast becoming pointless (mainly because they just wouldn't leave well enough alone and kept cluttering up the talk page trying to have the last word). I made it clear in my previous entry on that page that further posts would be removed.

Can I confirm the level of control group members have over their own Group Talk pages? (so I can edit the note at the top of the page to be more representative).

He had made the edit back and forth with Sonny twice, and as I was typing in the warning, he had gone through the process again undoing the revert I had done. I felt that the "Double Warning" was appropriate. He did it again... I gave him a three minute Ban (ohhh noes). I did wht I thought was right. I still think I did what was right. Hi first of all apologise if this is in the wrong place ive just taken over AH and ive noticed that there is a protection on the page to prevent editing the problem with this being all the users who would of once edited the page went inactive a while ago. Location pages

Hey I was just browsing the location style guide to see who I should talk to about the approved way to set out suburb locations pages and your name came up a fair bit in its history. I've noticed how some locations have their own pages (like Freake Grove) and some are part of a grouped page, such as Gatley Drive. Should all related locations in a suburb (eg. streets) share a suburb block type page, or should they have their own individual page? I am just cleaning up some wiki pages in the NW area (Dakerstown, Jensentown...) and need to know what policy I should adhere to, especially since a lot of the links in the 3x3 map on every location's page are broken (see: Seamour Crescent) due to the variation in styles from suburb to suburb. I hope you're the right person to talk to about this. Thanks in advance.--Nick 22:08, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Suburb Group List - Grouped by type?

Hey Xoid, I have a question for you. Recently Jorm went through Dulston, Pescodside, Rhodenbank, and Rolt Heights undoing some work of mine. Not that I have a complaint against him, mind you, because I feel that technically he was correct. A while back I checked each group listed for a suburb and then grouped them under a header: Survivor Groups, Zombie/PKer Groups, and in the case of groups associated with the Dulston Alliance a header named exactly that. I didn't see any problem with it and I figured it let users/players get a fast update on what groups were in a suburb: survivor, zombie, and PKer. On the other hand Jorm pointed out that this method did not conform with what every other suburb had for their suburb listing and he removed those headers. Fair enough I say. I tried to resolve this issue with that in mind and that's where I left it.

Wait, I said I had a question, so here it is: Where would I suggest my original idea in order to have it possibly approved as a standard for the UD Wiki? I figure the idea was solid, but I need to resolve the matter through the proper channels (i.e. Mods). Of course you guys might not agree with me, but as it stands I have nothing to lose by suggesting it. Also, what's your opinion on this idea? Taking into account that I obviously shouldn't be grouping zombie and PKer groups under the same header. --Mobius187 February 17 2007, 5:06 PM (EST)

The suburb style guide talk page would probably be the place to to codify it? Where is that Xoidberg, I wonder -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 00:40, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

NPOV and location pages

What's the go with non-point of view on locations pages, I figure that Kenward Towers & The Edson Building, for example, shouldn't be claimed by a group, and made into pseudo-group pages. Would it be unreasonable to move the group stuff to the talk pages and locationise it in situations like that? Is there anywhere that explains NPOV policy here? -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 00:25, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

There isn't an NPOV policy, unfortunately. You can do one of three things:
  1. Try to change it under the "this crap doesn't belong here, ∴ it's not good faith to include it, revert my edit and get reported."
  2. Simply bully them into submission
  3. Arbitration case.
I prefer the first, because it's the the most desirable of the three. Arbitration cases are a pain, and shit like this is really just vandalism — if they do it again after getting told not to. (Deliberately making pages POV is not good faith, ergo vandalism.) –Xoid MTFU! 05:14, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. I might try to get something together in the future, about NPOV. It needs a page of it's own I figure -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 01:24, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Pescodside Wiki Page Mergers

Hey Xoid, I wanted your opinion on something, being a Moderator for the wiki and all that. I gather that from your vote against merging revive points (streets) in Pescodside because of their content you are against any wikipages with significant content being merged (i.e. Hospitals, Fire Stations, Police Stations, NecroTech facilities, ect). Is that correct? I personally have no problem unmerging the 3 revive points I added to Pescodside Streets, but I wanted to inquire about NecroTech Dulston and Pescodside Fire Department. When I first started working on the wiki these were already created, but I never liked the idea of merging building wikipages... at all. I mean streets, junkyards, wasteland, parking lots... sure. Maybe even cemeteries, but not buildings. Let me get down to the point. I'm more than willing to put in the extra effort involved with unmerging wikipages like those, but if I did the work would you back me on deleting the old merged wikipage, so the UD Wiki is cleaned up aftewards? I don't want to do the work and then find that what I did was wrong in the eyes of the Mods (though I hear that not all Mods agree on this point, still, it's what I would like to see so I thought you would be the one to ask).

If I did start doing this it would start with Dulston and Pescodside as I'm familiar with the work done in those two suburbs and I probably wouldn't find my work contradicted (i.e. I wouldn't be stepping on anyone's toes unsuspectingly by undoing their work). Anyway, let me know. --Mobius187 January 30 2007, 6:40 PM (EST)

Just to note; my status as moderator is irrelevant in this discussion. Pretty much any discussion not having to do with rules, for that matter. My experience with location fixing and how to do it is rather good though. ;-)
Only locations with actual content should have their own page. The fact that these revive points also need a category added to them is another reason for un-merging. But only those specific locations; the rest should stay. If it's only a one or two liner, then leave them merged.
A good rule of thumb: if it's a full page of unique content (this normally doesn't apply - usually it's just boilerplate text with important info that applies to all of the locations under a single heading), then split it off.
That's the way it tends to work on Wikipedia; if a subset of a particular subject has enough for it's own page, it gets one. I don't see any reason to do differently here, it's a good system. –Xoid MTFU! 13:18, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
So the key points are that if a location has generic text (i.e. "Blank" is a street in the suburb of Pescodside) it can be merged with other wikipages that share the same minimal content. But if a page has anything beyond this type of basic description, like say for a building location, then it should have its own wikipage. When I have some spare time I intend to unmerge NecroTech Dulston and I'll post a Delete request for it. Depending on how that turns out I'll work on Pescodside Fire Department next. --Mobius187 February 2 2007, 9:55 AM (EST)
You're mostly correct; both Dulston's and Pescodside seem fine for splitting at the moment, there is actual meat there… even for the least detailed location out the lot. Typically, a one-liner or single paragraph is merged, with the exception of "unique" locations, like phone masts.
Additionally, the "merged" page should remain, but only with links to each individual page. This is to facilitate with easily finding a NT/Fire Dept./etc. once a page has been split off. –Xoid MTFU! 15:32, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Oops, I'm sorry Mobius, it looks like I combined that Dulston NecroTech page when I shouldn't have. Just say the word and I'll undo my mess -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 00:10, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
No need to apologize, I make mistakes now and then too because seriously it's a learning experience. So long as we're willing to learn from mistakes, which I like to do, then it's all good. Besides, as Xoid recommended, we can still use the NecroTech Dulston wikipage. What I'll do is first copy the NT building profiles/text to the individual wikipages (currently redirects pointing to "NecroTech Dulston") and then I'll edit the "NecroTech Dulston" wikipage to act as a redirect hub, similar to when you search for a location that exists in more than one suburb (i.e. Anne General Hospital), but in this case pointing to the specific NT buildings in Dulston by name. Also I'll edit all the remaining map links around the suburb so they point back to the individual wikipages. Lastly I'll include the new "NecoTech Dulston" link in the individual pages as well as a few other key places so players will be able to view the links to all the NT buildings in the suburb at once (other than on the suburb wikipage where they can do that already). I'll do that right now. --Mobius187 February 3 2007, 11:50 AM (EST)
Sounds good to me. I'm hoping working towards having such a page for every building type in every suburb. So that you can go to the Suburbname buildingtype page and either get a list of all the individual pages, or if they're pages without much content, then a grouped location page. Even if there are none of that type of building, I'm going to create pages saying so eventually. You (and Xiod) might like to contribute to Location Nuts at some point, or bring up any discussions like this on the talk page, I (and any other location nuts) am more likely to see it there, just happened upon this discussion :) -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 01:22, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Well, there actually was a project before that, I think you signed up for it. Can't recall 100%. That page is more likely to be seen there (much like Project Welcome/UnWelcome/etc.) simply because of its being in the main namespace. Perhaps "rename" the older project, or join forces or something.
I somehow doubt that people aren't going to work together if they aren't, but less duplication of effort is always a good thing. Maybe just state that the page (locations project) is deprecated and to become a nutter instead? (Side-note: the Location Nuts' talk page needs some organisation and neatening.) –Xoid MTFU! 10:06, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I did sign up, but there didn't seem to be much in the way of just idle chatter about the locations project (or much talk at all really). Set up the group so that people could just join up and yap about it in an area of our own if they wanted, ask silly questions somewhere where it doesn't matter. Don't know about others, but I'm not all that comfortable spamming up project talk pages that way... sorta why I havn't bothered cleaning up that talk page much either (although I guess it needs one, looking at it now). Informal is the go over there. I'd like it to just become like a social club/first point of contact for the locations project, rather than replace it -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 10:56, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I added my name to Location Nuts, just because at this rate I'll need to start counting colons so I indent this topic properly... but I think this pretty much wraps-up the whole suburb merge page discussion. There is just one thing, I agree with boxy that the merged redirect wikipages should use the (suburb) (building type) naming convention. That said what we have here is the opposite... NecroTech Dulston. While I can see the principal is the same I would prefer the category wikipage to make sense by organizing all the redirect wikipages under suburb name (i.e. Category Streets = Dulston Streets, Pescodside Streets, ect) rather then the much less useful "everything under N for NecroTech". So what do you guys think, should we delete NecroTech Dulston and create Dulston NecroTech? Or simply create Dulston NecroTech and redirect NecroTech Dulston to point to it like some kind of perverse redirect pyramid scheme? Of course then we have the issue that, by checking the NT buildings category, naming the merged wikipage NecroTech suburb is the method that has been used to date. --Mobius187 February 5 2007, 8:25 AM (EST)
Yeah, the NecroTech group pages are the odd ones out arn't they, but that's what the locations style guide says. The streets and carparks and other group page names were changed a while ago, there's a discussion on the talk page. I think it's easier to go with the redirect method personally, if it's even a problem -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 01:53, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

More about move requests

As you know I was off a long time and I didn't realize that moving pages was restricted to mods while I was off. I used to use that function quite often when adressing lots of Criterion 9 and some other mistakes, and now having to make a request for every move just seems ankward (and takes away the glory! =P). I suppose that this was a restriction made for that vandal event held at Halloween that Kevan just decided to keep for its efectiveness, but before asking him and wait for a delayed answer I decided to see how is your posture about the issue: There's any chance that the move of pages by normal users will be restored? --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCTW! 09:15, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Kevan actually had this on the cards for a while, long before the event that never transpired. Frankly, it's a pain in the arse I'd rather the mods not have to deal with. There may be some slight chance of Kevan reinstating it, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the moment he does some moron will vandalise and force him to retract it. Name redirect

Hi, Xoid. As far as I can tell, the most important thing about this redirect being deleted is because you are not supposed to redirect from a name Harald von Holzapfel to a userpage user:Harald von Holzapfel. If that is correct, then the rest doesn't matter (the examples I found were Conndraka and Kevan, who, presumably because they are moderators (and Kevan wrote the game, of course), get some snazzier rights).

However, one thing that worries me is, what happens if someone does a propaganda page using another groups name, that page is deleted, then the real group wants to do their own page, using the same title? As I understand it (and I am not ruling out miscomprehension) the page name would then be automatically deleted, under criterion 6, which would mean the group whose name was misused would then embarrassingly be forced to use a page named differently to their group name, as a result of a malicious edit!--Harald von Holzapfel 21:15, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

ummm actually no, I'm not suposed to have a redirect like that either... Thanks for pointing that out. I'll take care of it. Conndrakamod TDHPD CFT 22:33, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
OK - so not even moderators then! All the best Conndraka, that was not meant as an accusation, by the way, you were just the first one I could find (who was not Kevan)! Anyway, unless there are any other kinds of redirect, I will give up. Thanks--Harald von Holzapfel 13:36, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Kevan, as sole owner of the game and wiki, is above the law. He rarely exercises his power in that regard, but I doubt he even knows the redirect exists — IIRC, someone else made that redirect. Anyway, I'd basically not follow the rules in his particular circumstance purely out of convenience — he's the creator of the game and people are going to search for his page ridiculously often. Unlike <insert random person here> who nobody has ever heard of.
Yes, I expected that, as I said above, but I thought maybe it would be true for moderators also. Anyway, this has been thoroughly answered. Thankyou! Harald von Holzapfel 20:25, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
If anyone ever wants to write biographies for notable UD personalities, I'd be pushing for a policy to allow the biographies to exist. –Xoid MTFU! 14:01, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Since criterion 6 only prevents pages being recreated if the content is pretty much the same, the group would be allowed to create their page. –Xoid MTFU! 14:01, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

It might be better if it followed the new style, with each in its own section. I'd change it myself, but the page is protected. The Mad Axeman 10:43, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

M/D#Ban In-Game Rape & Don't Ban In-Game Rape

Considering the owner of this here cattle ranch has voiced his wishes with regard to the first, do you concur that we should be voting only for deletion of the second? -- Atticus Rex mfu pif Δ 18:27, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

He didn't demand that it was kept (which he could have done), he voted. There is a difference between using his owner privilege to overrule this deletion request and registering a keep vote.--Gage 20:48, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
I don't disagree with the second sentence at all, just thought the conclusion as to your first sentence was maybe a little ambiguous. -- Atticus Rex mfu pif Δ 21:02, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Improper Move

I moved a page in preperation for a crit 9 speedy which was actualy a legitimate alt user page. I put it back where I found it and noted under the original speedy and undelete requests here and here. Hidden Sections

I'll leave you with a link to the C&C Navigation Bar, from Wikipedia... and a thought on how the show/hide function for a section of the wiki could be useful in areas like the Humorous Suggestions, were the votes could be hidden from the regular user in order to mantain the fun on that page. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 03:31, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

The complaints department. Serious grievances with me go under this heading. Due to people using this section for what it was not intended, I feel the need to remind people that this section is for serious stuff, not trifling disagreements.
Old "Criticism" messages may be found here.

How serious a grievance has to be?

Well, I'll tell you what. I just readed your text. The second time I removed it I didn't readed any of it. I'm telling you so you know why I removed it tough you "removed all the flames": because I didn't bother to know.

Anyways, not only the intro, that was pure flaming, but the conclussion you make are really offensive, with the plus that your conclussion contradicts itself, by saying that the difference4 between Mod material and not is being able to thinbk clearly regardless of personal feelings: You admitted on the talk pages of everyone that I contacted for input on the policy:

Xoid said:
I was a bit pissed when he insulted me, my friends and my integrity

It's nice how you exacerbate everything I say, yet you only were "a bit pissed". I'm even a fascist now? OH NOES!!!! my trotskist brother will kill me!... I DO have a trotskist brother, BTW).

Your intro of "Bold faced lies, hyperbole, contradictions and assumptions" can be very well applied to you and won't be far from true, if it's not just certain...

The points you try to make don't match in content the outright flames you feed, but still you want me to respond, and your sacrosant word to be kept as it is...

Finally, you now try to feed my friends (or at least, the people I like the most on this wiki, as I don't have much chat with them) with your hate against me, with diff links and everything.

I won't say how this looks, or how bad you're making yourself look. You may be pissed because I said I didn't trust you, I said I didn't like your friends, and what? I have my reasons, you said the same kind of things of me and some of the guys I trust, if not worse, and I'm not rambling on Darth's page with a copy of a copy of a reply with diff links on it. Control yourself.

But yet, you won't. And I won't suffer the comments of a guy that can't evolve anymore. Reply me where you want, how you want; exericise your freedom to be annoying like your friends do. I'm tired of your little group: you'll get ignored. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 15:53, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

"…can be very well applied to you and won't be far from true…" — something of which you have no evidence thereof. Throughout that page you have been disingenuous and oft. spouting outright falsehoods.
"…being able to thinbk clearly regardless of personal feelings…" — if you re-read that quote, you may realise that you have done nothing but illustrate my point: despite being a bit pissed I was still thinking clearly.
"It's nice how you exacerbate everything I say, yet you only were "a bit pissed"…" — when I'm beating the crap outta my boxing bag is when I'm really pissed. Replying snarkily to your sniping is to be expected. If you pull a dog's tail, don't be surprised when it barks at you..
"The points you try to make…" — correction: the points I made. You have made absolutely no effort to refute them. The rest of the sentence? I honestly cannot understand.
"Finally, you now try to feed my friends…against me, with diff links and everything." — Do you honestly think I'm going to describe every little detail? Diff. links speak for themselves; they can draw their own conclusions from them.
"…my friends (or at least, the people I like the most on this wiki, as I don't have much chat with them)…" — I can't decipher this. Are they your friends or not?
"…a copy of a copy of a reply…" — so I didn't have the inclination to personalise it. What of it? It still says what I meant it to say. You should be thankful I resorted to cut 'n' psate instead of writing longwinded messages, not asking for more. :P
"I won't say how this looks…." — you completely ignored every point I made. Completely. You didn't even have the courtesy to read it. All I know is that feels cheap. I bet it looks no better.
"…you said the same kind of things of me and some of the guys I trust…" — hm? The only guys I've said such things about have a long and clearly documented history backing up my claims. The sole exceptions being Jedaz; who just so happened to put on a convincing display (god only knows why) at the same time 3 Page gave me "proof". And you: while lacking a long history, but you are clearly working to remedy that.
"Control yourself. . . .But yet, you won't." — considering you are supposed to be the "good guy" and the epitome of self-control, you certainly aren't demonstrating it. You sniped at me quite often on that page, despite the fact I was honestly trying to point out where it needed work. Since it is obvious that you believe only what you want to believe, I'm not going to bother trying to help work the kinks out of your policies. They can fail when others see the grandiose flaws for themselves.
"And I won't suffer the comments of a guy that can't evolve anymore." — I can't decipher this either.
"…exericise your freedom to be annoying like your friends do." — I thought that was a freedom you were trying to remove? Regardless, if having someone try to squash the bugs in your policy is "annoying" then — as I already said — I'll "annoy" you no longer.

Re: Blah Blah Blah (cont'd from earlier page, I copy/pasted Gage's last response too)

Mods already have to wade through enough bureaucracy as it is. Don't attack me with the red tape! It is simply too much work for me to be bothered with. I recognize that you think that democracy is better, but I think our elected aristocracy is much more simple (and therefore better). You will not convince us, and you obviously are extremely stuborn. Drop it. Now.--Gage 04:16, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm not stubborn, just opinionated. I'd be stubborn if I refused to change my position in the face of valid argument. You have, in my opinion, failed to present this. And wait, are you telling me to drop my position on democracy? It's a tad unclear.--J Muller 05:49, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Here's my .02. The Wiki is not a Democracy. Just like the United States, the wiki is a Republic, and the "Elected" leaders of this wiki do what they have to do on a day to day basis to maintain the wiki. And just like all other Republics, the leadership cannot be constrained by the limitations of a true democracy. Its a great idea but just like Communism, it's a great idea but it just isn't practical. No, the populace of the wiki get their "Vote" in the (s)election of the Moderators and have the ability to recall the Moderator based on his/her decisons in the Moderation/Misconduct page. If you don't like the decisions made by the Moderators you pretty much have to live with it until you have enough support to back a policy change. Conndrakamod TDHPD CFT 06:00, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
And you think what, I'm doing this for fun or something?--J Muller 06:07, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
No I'd say you are respectfully standing up for an honest opinion and I can admire that...but the general consensus right now is more or less how Gage and Xoid see things, and until "Grass Roots" changes their minds, the Vandal/Policy alterations are likely to stick- as written. If someone gets Permabanned they can get someone still on the wiki to address the issue, and if there is merit, it will get overturned. Conndrakamod TDHPD CFT 06:25, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Thank you. Xoid and Gage haven't rebutted anything I've said as much as they've dismissed it as illogical nonsense without even trying to rationalize that statement. I realize general opinion is as you've said, but people seem to think that means anyone who thinks differently shouldn't even post on the wiki.--J Muller 06:36, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Y'know, the feeling is mutual. You've insinuated a lot and haven't refuted anything I've said either. The most you've said is "I don't care if this brings the wiki grinding to a halt, I'm arguing on principle.". I'm arguing on principle too; the principle that inconveniencing almost the entirety of the wiki isn't something I'll stand for; not without there being one hell of a good reason why.
As to explaining how you're ramming this down our throats? Exactly how many times have you brought this issue up? From day 1? Ding ding ding. You've voted for on every policy even vaguely implementing something like this. You've discussed this at length, and tried to derail yet another policy with your agenda. How are you not ramming this down our throats? –Xoid MTFU! 02:08, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Amazing Wiki

I must say, you have an amazing user page, and I truly value your contributions to the wiki community. Tell me, how can I format my wiki page to be as great as yours? Is there a place where I can find guides on how to create columns, etc.?--Dux Ducis 07:42, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Here are some resources you can try:
  • Help:Contents — check out the section on tables (and any others that seem pertinent).
  • Web colors — useful for finding colours that work. IIRC, it also provides a basic understanding on what the codes actually mean.
  • W3Schools' guide on XHTML — should (if their CSS guide is anything to go by) give you a good grounding in the basic XHTML tags and such (though there is no real need to read up on all the tags).
  • W3Schools' guide on CSS — should give you a good grounding in CSS.
  • Project Mentor — if you want someone to help 'mentor' you through the process.
Thanks for the compliment, but it's actually quite primitive compared to some other's pages (mainly due to the effort required and the lack of practical benefits when I know the URLs off by heart already, though I may eventually get off my butt and add a navbar and other 'prettiness' to my page if I get some time). –Xoid MTFU! 10:10, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

I have a query to do with some code - is there a way to change the color of all of my links on my user page? Say I want to change them all to maroon, how would I achieve this?--Ducis DuxSlothTalk 07:52, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

I see Cyberbob already helphed you with this, but I'll add that you can also change external links colours if you so desire. Just amke sure external links are in this format — [URL {{c|colour|description of link}}] — and they'll be recoloured. –Xoid MTFU! 10:57, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

[[It's spelt 'color'|<span style="color: red">It's spelt 'color'</span>]] or [[Red!|{{c|blue|Red!}}]] should work. They did the last time I checked. –Xoid MTFU! 09:11, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

p.s One more question (actually three) 1. how do you make groups on the game 2.Is ASSualt still looking for people because my guy is a level 22 3.If so how would one join I.E. Me!
Moving pages is currently restricted to moderators at the moment. It's not likely to change either; pandemic abuse from vandals convinced Kevan that it was no longer a good idea. Moving part of a page is rather easy, just cut what you want to move, save the page, open up another page for editing, paste it there and save the page. Done.

You really dont like me, huh ? --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 00:24, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

The least you could do if you're going to lurk is to actually bother looking at what transpired. You know what I thought when I saw the first couple of edits like that from Conn? I wondered if he merely screwed up and forgot to record them; I still had your case fresh in mind, even this long after it. After easily upwards of dozen or so unwarranted permabans, other bans, warnings and other breaches of protocol over a week or two, I didn't see one or two minor errors but systematic abuse instead, especially when you consider how many of that "upwards of a dozen" ended up needing intervention or are — even now — are seriously questionable.
I bitchslapped you when you made half a dozen and you left to sulk, instead of cleanning up your act and sticking around. Exactly like when I broke protocol and banned Amazing, I gave you a lil' "Knock it off!" and you proceed to sulk, like a petulant child. When you came back this time, you didn't bother looking, you didn't bother caring enough to be informed, you just popped in and gave an opinion based purely on emotion instead of on the facts. That kind of willful ignorance disgusts me, and it's telling. –Xoid MTFU! 05:24, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Actually, i tried to fix things when that shit with jjames happened. I didnt threw the shit in the ventilator and ran away, i stayed and got shit all over myself too. Unlike amazing, i know when i am wrong, and all i did at that time was to try to get hold of the situation and put an end in all that chaotic situation that was happening. Yes, i did banned and warned people then, but only because they were helping to create MORE chaos, instead of less.
About Conndraka, he was always a good mod. One of the finnest i knew. It was him, me, Zar, Ster and Brent running aound with the Mod power sticks, bashing vandals and retards out of space. When his previous case of misconduct (previously to the one i created) showed up, i went to check some of his actions, and i might have been blinded by emotions and didnt saw the facts, just like you said. But I know now that i was wrong then, and you might have did the same mistake if Hammero was the one in the same situation. (btw, what happened to him ? It's been months since i last seen him around).
Look. I still care for the wiki and UrbanDead. If i didn't, i wouldnt be here, huh ? I walked away not because of the retards and because you banned me and cyberbob was being a bitch... well, these things helped... but because of real life conditions... i am in the last year of my university, and have to make my conclusion work... which is pretty neat, about computer physics and aerodynamics :D... and i have found me a descent job, which is killing me but in a very joyfull way :D... this is why i dun stick around that much anymore...
--People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 15:30, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
heh, the 'descent job' was akin to a web designer slave house, my Uni thesis about computer physics failed so bad i only got to graduate two years later, and by the end of that 2006 i also was dumped sooo hard by my then-gf that i went brooding for the next seven months. Its fun to read ol' stuff from the past and see how things unfolded. --hagnat 19:33, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

I have since done a lot of reading on the policies of this wiki, as well as the stance of moderators (including yourself) on a lot of proposals, and I have to say that in most cases, you not only present your position, but a well-thought reasoning behind that stance. From what I've seen, your positive contributions outweigh any petty personality clashes. Let it not be said that I can't admit when I'm wrong. — Phoenixshade TJ!TUD 22:28, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure what to say. I'm pleased you reconsidered your appraisal of me, but I know that I often bring such flak upon myself for being far brusque, on top of being a judgemental firebrand. I'm sorry about getting worked up over that. (I'm not really good at apologies myself, and I guess that's showing.) –Xoid MTFU! 01:10, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Re: Jon Pyre

Hmm, that does seem like an unjustified and pretty large deletion. I haven't really been following most of the conflicts going on around the wiki. --Jon Pyre 15:50, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Why was my Moderation/Promotion moved to the 'unsuccessful' archive? I have 3 vouches, and I am also waiting on a few people who said they would change their vote. My request was never moved into community discussion even when I had 3 vouches. I had to point this out to Cyberbob240. Explain?--Ducis DuxSlothTalk 05:50, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

'Eh? You sure? (What am I saying, of course you're sure.) I could've sworn… feel free to restore it. My apologies. –Xoid MTFU! 05:51, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
'K. Reverted. Sorry. –Xoid MTFU! 05:53, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
No problem. Accidents happen. What happens now while it is under community discussion?--Ducis DuxSlothTalk 05:58, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Two weeks from third vouch. –Xoid MTFU! 05:59, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Well, unless I can't count, I think it's been longer than two weeks. What now? --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 07:46, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
A bureaucrat should review the bid and make a decision by looking at the different users support and concerns about you. I'll then be archived. Dux, you'll have more possibilities if instead of prolonging the same bid in hopes of people to change their original votes, you start a new bid in a couple of weeks or a month. I would vouch for you next time, as I believe that enough time has been since my concerns were presented and you should be already more familiarized with the rules. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 09:10, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm not prolonging my vote, trust me. I would have been happier if things moved along quicker, however I had to prod users responsible with the maintenance of that namespace (read: other syops) as to what happens next. The guidelines are not totally concrete in that once you receive 3 vouches, your vote moves into community discussion, then it's "We'll see what happens now". So, what? Are you saying that I start over again, despite meeting the criteria set out? I do not understand if there is any concrete "pass or fail", "yes or no" system in place. Don't get me wrong, I'm not angry. Just a little frustrated that at this point, everything is not terribly clear. Please leave your reply on my talk page. Ta. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 11:20, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Not a bureaucrat anymore?! Well, good luck in the real world or whatever it is you're doing now! --Lachryma 19:34, 1 April 2007 (BST)

Yup. I lost my passion for this dump long ago. Done what I could to make it better, but I don't think it can be fixed. This'll pretty much be the last edit I make, I don't honestly want to waste my time here again. Take care. –Xoid 19:47, 1 April 2007 (BST)
You did your best. good luck.--Vista 21:40, 1 April 2007 (BST)

we had some discussions, and there was time i wished to smash your head with a brick (and i think so wished you) but i cant deny that you did a wonderful job. Gratz, thank you, and goodbye. Hope to see you around the corners of the interweb somewhere else :) --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 21:49, 1 April 2007 (BST)
