I figured it out. Yes, Smyg did categorize it, but I was referring to the bulk of the editing. It was actually created a few years ago. We had somehow lost track of this page, and it had remained unused for a while. I just really suck at understanding histories. But honetly I think a small yellow box at the top of the page letting everyone viewing it know it is an Orphan won't hurt. Maybe just maybe someone will care enough to link it somewhere. Developing Events Workspace

Totally for the idea, not for the idea of DDR complaining about it. I'll see about mocking up something for us to improve on in the next few days, I'll have more time starting friday. Right now I think the major purpose of it should be developing event articles since those are actually developing content and not simply under construction pages(which should just have the template added). Sounds good. I'll help when and where I can. I agree the focus should be on developing events. Maybe Developing Good Articles would be a worthwhile project in the future, though. Possibly UDWiki:Style Guide? What are your thoughts on namespace for developing events? I thought it might be good if it is attached to Current Events in some way, although that page is dismally underkept. Of course Developing Events would work just fine. ~ _{07:25, 8 April 2011}

Like most developing pages, I believe we paste them on wiki news. Current events would be an alright portal for developing pages, maybe talk:current events, either way, as long as you put a notice on the main page, traffic and help will come regardless of how unkept the page is otehrwise. -- ϑ^anceϑ^anceℜ^evolution 11:14, 8 April 2011 (BST)

Actually, I just noticed something in my ProjDev pages when I was about to make a new one to develop this in. I actually think we could potentially mutate that into something for this with little effort. That's pretty cool, man. I could see that turning to a hub for development pages such as Developing Suggestions, Developing Guides, Developing Events and Developing Good Articles and a multitude of other things like UDWiki:Projects, Technical Help, Wiki Questions and so on. Maybe through smart use of subpages and inclusions one could simply use this page to get an overview of things that are in development. I'll try to put some work into it. ~ _{19:33, 9 April 2011}

If you're ever in the mood for a good laugh, try clicking on the links in some of these spam pages (carefully of course. make sure you know where that link will take you). These recent spammers are using links to other wikis which they have sapmmed up, creating an endless loop of spamdexing links. If I really really wanted to fuck their shit up, I would just follow the links, blanking each wiki page as I went along. I sometimes wonder if there is a master program at the end, like if you I went through enough spammed wiki pages I would find MCP and destory him with light discs. End of line, MCP. End. Of. I don't really think that selling junk is the primary directive of the bots. They're trying to increase their client's page ranking on search engines like google by placing the link an any open channel on the internet possible. Wikis are at jeopordy since anyone can edit nearly any wiki page but blogs and other types of sites that allow comments from users are also at risk. They're trying to make it so that when someone does a google search on let's say "Jobs in Minnesota", one of the top results will be their own. Its called spamdexing. ~ _{21:38, 9 April 2011}

Crat elections

I was originally bound to vote for Mis, but with his pending demotion, that doesn't seem to be an option anymore. Checking the sys-op list and thinking about it, I think you would be the next best candidate - you act very level-headed, manage to remain neutral and enter drama only as much as necessary, which are IMHO the three key traits of a good crat. Spider and you are the only ones prominent enough to beat DDR, right now. Yon, not trusting one as inexperienced as you, will back DDR, and the other sysops will lack the influence to play major roles. I think you're more popular than Spider (due to your levelheadedness and centrism). With Spider behind you, you could stand a chance of beating DRR. I wouldn't count on it (though I am always willing to wager golden fiddles), since he's got so much more experience, and many of the less-active voters will remember his productivity without having seen yours. As always, I'll back Red, and should he not receive enough support, I'll most likely change to DDR, also as usual. I'd assume I'll also leave my name on the ballot unless it becomes a close race between two candidates. (Once again as I always do). If DDR doesn't run, Boxy will win the election. There are 3 crats on this wiki; Ross, DDR and Boxy. If DDR runs, it'll be fairly tight, but Boxy's been a bit inactive, so he probably won't win.
