Aardwolf Rangers/Recent history archive
Well here it is, lets try and keep the main page clean by dumping here every few days.
September 19, 2007: Boy, I should really update more often. I'm in the Whippey building, Tug is still dead, Gary and NeWbeD have left us again, Albub has RL in the way, and I haven't heard from Nazdreg for a while.
Crap. Redwave 21:45, 19 September 2007 (BST)
August 28, 2007: Fighting at Hildebrand is keeping us up and sharp. Hopefully the siege will lift soon so we can go help out in the north... Redwave 21:35, 28 August 2007 (BST)
August 14, 2007: With the defeat at Shearbank we're taking time off to join a light siege at Nicholas Mall. Expect only about 200+ Zeds. Redwave 17:59, 14 August 2007 (BST)
August 9, 2007: LUE vs NMC round 1 begins. Stickling is decimated and only Whippey remains. Redwave 21:56, 9 August 2007 (BST)
August 8, 2007: With any luck LUE should be about on it's way to Stickling. I ask all of you to read the Cunning Plan section on the Channel 4 News Teams page for information on how to deal with LUE. This is gonna rock! Redwave 13:25, 8 August 2007 (BST)
July 29, 2007: After some minor shuffling around we're still staging in the Whippy building. Redwave 22:43, 29 July 2007 (BST)
July 21, 2007: Our new staging point is the Whippy Building. See you all there. Redwave 03:54, 22 July 2007 (BST)
July 17, 2007: Copied from my talk page.
Requesting Aide Reports have been confirmed that the LUE and Killer Zombie Tomatos are most likely headed towards Dowdney Mall for their own little mall tour. Tynte Mall fell in just under a day. Giddings Mall fell fast yesterday. It took them 16 minutes to breach. 22 hours before every survivor was killed. Afew days Hildebrand Mall fell again in less than one day. The forces these guys have put together are massive and deadly. Tynte defenders were shocked by the quickness and organized assaults set up by this force. I ask all of you to join us in defending the mall. If Dowdney falls they will likely head to Treweeke. Thanks for any support. This has the makings to go down as one of the great fights. Lets avoid a lengthy and frustrating campaign at Giddings and go kick some ass instead. Santlerville was great the last time we were there, lets get some payback on LUE! And if this turn up cold, head for Shearbank instead. Redwave 20:09, 17 July 2007 (BST)
July 9, 2007: Those LUE bastards sacked Giddings! 83'41 is in peril, I think you all know what to do. I'll also call in some support...
July 8, 2007: After a little lull in the action the Aardwolves have begun to do what they do best. In Randalbank this time. Redwave 18:32, 8 July 2007 (BST)
June 26, 2007: The Aardwolves are taking a break from the action to try and recruit some new members at Giddings. Inspire some people around Pitneybank, preach the word, and take it cool. Redwave 00:35, 27 June 2007 (BST)
June 15, 2007: I meant Blackmore. Redwave 22:50, 15 June 2007 (BST)
June 13, 2007: To Nicholas! Also, I'm seriously considering getting into Blackmore, its under survivor control again... Redwave 12:13, 13 June 2007 (BST)
June 5, 2007: We're off to Floyde Stadium in Barrville for some ass kicking and helping out the locals, it's about bloody time. -Redwave
June 2, 2007: DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON! DULSTON!
This message brought to you by the "Where NeWbeD thinks we should go next" Committee --NeWbeD 21:05, 4 June 2007 (BST)
- My Alt is there. And it's not as dull as I thought, but it still doesn't need our help. Our rally point is The ULC of Caiger, and damn do I wanna get back in a fight... Redwave 22:24, 4 June 2007 (BST)
- Yea, nevermind sp00k isn't even there anymore he's in Chancelwood. So I'm going to rejoin you guys. You're in Caiger right? I'll see you in a few days. Also if you see sp00kofAH please be kind!
May 31, 2007: We're pretty spread out, I have no idea where anyone is right now. I figure that we need a rally point in a centralized spot, say the ULC of Caiger or something, and all of us should meet up before we move out again.
Also, it should go without saying that as reputable Zom Hunters we should take advantage of the new update and loot the crap out of the nearest clothing stores. I picked me up some great stuff from the hiking outfitters in Caiger! Redwave 00:42, 1 June 2007 (BST)
May 28, 2007: Wow, long time no update. We're offically in Santlerville fighting the RRF, /b/, and The Eastonwood Ferals. Some of out members stayed behind in Caiger, however, to help rebuild the area. Redwave 23:10, 23 May 2007 (BST)
April 28, 2007: Good work, the battle looks like it's about over. We stood our ground and held a position against the Zeds, not too shabby guys.
April 12, 2007: The fight for the Whatmore building is intense, very intense. An attack on the hospital is going in friday, we need some of the FAK to stay in buisness. Redwave 12:23, 12 April 2007 (BST)
April 5, 2007: We're having a jolly good time in East Boundwood, the flavour country of Malton. I give a shout out the the CCPD guys for such a great defense of Challenger Crescent. Right now we're after resources of a differnt sort...
PS: Send more pies. Redwave 02:46, 6 April 2007 (BST)
March 24, 2007: Operation Aardwolf Gardens has started off with way to much bloodshed. Thins are proceding nicely according to plan regardless. Redwave 17:36, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
March 20, 2007: I'm back from vacation now, ready to cause all kinds of nasty havoc. Though I'm still going to be doing plenty of flying before I arrive home. At any rate, I can't find the forum, and as a result can't find the plan, so I guess Redwave will have to discuss it in person over live when I finally get home. Anyway, Albub out. Albub God only knows when I'm on Hawaiian time, 17 March 2007
March 15, 2007: Another glorious day in hell! Pitneybank should be a green suburb, the area is restored and back up to its former pristine condition. Our home in Malton is as safe now as ever. But not all the city is enjoying warmth and serenity, no Malton seems truly screwed at the moment and we're gonna help fix the problem. Our sights have been set on Yagoton, it will offer us much in the way of battle. There seems to be nothing left in that corner of the city save corpses. But I smell a certain odor in the air too, perhaps this is the "desire" that the News Team looks so fondly upon...
Update: We're going in piecemeil this time, as some of our members are offline, and others need to stock up for a while more. I think its safe to say that I will be heading out first, sometime tommorow. But by the end of the week we should be assembled in the Whatmore Building in Yagoton to take place in operation Desirable Aardwolf. Good luck out there. Redwave 00:57, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
March 11, 2007: Operation AardAid was a complete success. Pat yourselves on the back, take a hot shower, and re-arm. I've already got a new plan cooking though the works, see Forum. Additionally, two of our members have contracted onvacationitis and need to stay in the Pitneybank area for treatment for just longer than a week. That means some RNR for the rest of us until we're all back up and freerunning. Redwave 03:49, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
March 8, 2007: I'm currently back in Whiskey Echo-Foxtrot, and there are two other survivors. It is currently EHB. I was in Giddings for an ammo run, and one corner is Zom free, and two more have only one or so. The NorthWest corner has a good 14 or 15, that's all. Albub 21:05, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
March 6, 2007: Ok, listen up! The Mall Tour has declared it's next target, Lumber Mall. That means the Zombies are moving on. And that means we're moving out. I'll give the details ingame in a few hours, (scouting run winded me). Redwave 21:05, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
March 5, 2007: Giddings has fallen. After 3 days of fighting the Mall tour claims another victory. Aardwolves are asked to tune into the website for further updates. Redwave 21:10, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
March 2, 2007: The Aardshelter is up and running, only RiotAct2 and Hlouis are unnaccounted for. In better news we have a website! Look in our info box for the link.

Febuary 27: Tres' weak Mall has been Ransacked. We're running out of time. Advise we move out to the "Aardshelter". The local medics will get Insouciant soon enough, I hope... Redwave 02:32, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
CuIt: Insouciant has one sick son of a bitch hunting him.
http://urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=597080
Seeing as the Tour is gonna hopefully flatten this place like a tidal wave he might just go away. But until then I'll revive him and set him up at the location I picked for us to hole up in. He should be outta the way far enough so not to get noticed and he can hopefully keep the area held down till it's needed. I'm staying in the warehouse long enough to revive him and then I'm moving out there too. By the time you are all reading this you'll have been informed in game. I'll tell Insouciant right before I revive him so he doesn't run the risk of getting Pked again.
Insouciant: Hey guys. I see you are coming back? That is good. This place has really gone down hill. PKers and GKers by the hundreds I swear. I actually experienced my first PK a few days ago. The person who did it decided it would be fun to role play and depict an explicit rape scene ending with my death. I swear by oh holy God that if I had a resources I would actually hunt down the demented, screwed up kid that did it and spend the rest of my life torturing then killing him! People like that do not deserve to live. Anyway, since then I have been wandering around in a drunken stupor. I can be found at the revive point. (I don't even remember how to edit this wiki it has been so long) This will suffice. - Wandering Insouciant
Whoo! Redwave 02:14, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Febuary 24: Pitneybank's page is inexplicably locked, so no inspiring speeches can be givin. Looks like the mods have hamstrung wiki communication so we need to put the word out by radio. Also we need some scouting runs of the area, I've only seen one corner of the mall and it was dangerously underpopulated. I'd head out but I needed to fill my bandolier first. Ok , good luck out there people. Redwave 16:31, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Urgent: A corner of Dowdney Mall has been ransacked after one attack. It seems the mall has folded in less than 24 hours. That means we need everyone on station over here ASAP. Giddings is next. Redwave 00:21, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Febuary 23, Home Sweet Home! We're heading home to the warehouse! Sticklinggrad was a grueling fight for us all, and some RNR is needed. It will also let us have a meet and greet with some of the new guys, and let us find out what happened to some old friends... Redwave 20:45, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Operation ArdAid
Full Retreat! Stickling Mall is falling at an impressive rate. The Battle of Sticklinggrad is over for us. Fall back to Bathe Boulevard Railway Station on the top edge of Roachtown. If you are dead go to the Fitkin Hotel and wait until a revive comes by from one of us. We didn't come here to die, just fight. Go! Redwave 00:26, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Febuary 21, 2007:
We land upon the bluffs. We land upon the grass. We always land upon our feet we never hit our ass. Hidey hidey Christ almighty who the hell are we? Zim zam goddamn we're Aardwolf Infantry!
Ok, so I did steal that from the 1940's. But I figure it's almost relavent. Redwave 01:36, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Fruberry 19, 2007: Zombies are flying thick and fast in both Whippey and the bottom corners of Stickling. Haven't seen Albub yet... Redwave 18:03, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Fruberry 17, 2007: The South East corner needs you! The Zombies seem to be switching again, and the strike force that was successful in breaching Whippey everyday has targeted the understaffed SE corner of Stickling. Recomend we re-deploy to cover that area. Redwave 20:21, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Febuary 15, 2007: With the presence of the Upper Left Corner, The Channel Four News Team, The Malton Rangers, The Quartly Study Group, The Creedy Defense Force, and The Lime Brigade to name a few, this seige has been upgraded to INCREDIBLY AWESOME! Redwave 03:54, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Febuary 13, 2007: I have the link to our target in operation Aardwolf Assasins.
http://urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=99071
Good Hunting!
Also, add your name and a short bio to the role call up above. Our membership is about to skyrocket thanks to my net buddy Albub.
Febuary 11: This seige has dragged on for 2 solid weeks now, and its reached a stalemate again. I sugest a switch of focus for us, we barricade the outlying buildings like it was Giddings 3 all over again. Alot of stuff is getting overlooked with all the attention on the NT, and atleast a couple of oppertunists will take advantage to attack other less defended buildings. I figure Whippey can take care of itself well enough without our help. If anyone has the spare AP, the PD below the mall was wide open as I passed through.
26.70 MHz: "St Benedict's SW of Giddings needs a gen, fuel, and xmitter" (10 hours and 21 minutes ago) Ha! Redwave 02:05, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
It's Escalated! Whippey is under seige by 200 Zombies now. Rangers Assemble! Redwave 00:26, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Febuary 6: It's been decided. Until the situation at Stickling Mall escalates we're heading out to Roachtown. Specifically *** **** ****** and the surrounding buildings. Stock up, we'll be behind enemy lines on this one. Redwave 21:05, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Febuary 4: Damn, I guess success is spelled B-O-R-I-N-G. Does anywhere in the mall or surrounding area need us? Redwave 20:18, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

January 30, 2007: The bottom left corner of the mall is the main focal point at the moment. Whippey hasn't been breached for several days. Recomend you guys deploy 2 squares down, over. Redwave 03:38, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Whippey: Good work holding down the Nercotech guys. It's a nice change of scenery methinks.
January 24, 2007: Hey, how is it going guys? I figured I'd drop a line and see what you are up to. NeWbeD and I are at Warehouse 83,41. The suburb is looking better everyday. God I love Pitneybank. I sent you a text message but never recieved an answer Redwave. I am guessing your phone mast is out? Anyway, good luck. -Wandering Insouciant
January 22, 2007: Right, Bale mall is gone. On the Mall Horde Wiki page it announces that they plan to take out the headquarters of the YRC before moving on. Stickling mall is within 10 AP of the center of Yagoton, so its a sure bet that that's where they are headed next. NeWbeD, we're gonna need you in the ULC of Stickling as soon as possible. Good luck out there guys. Redwave 01:31, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
January 21, 2007: The Bale is falling! Yeah, looks like Bale won't last the night. I'm not sticking around for the end. I was one of the last three standing in the ULC whan I logged on, 26 Zombies were in there. I'm going back to Stickling Mall, maybe we could regroup there? Redwave 00:39, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- I'm at Stickling now. Before I left, I checked and the ULC of Bale was ransacked, so it looks like moving out was a good decision Tugbottom 20:45, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
January 20, 2007: I had the lucky chance to overhear Dickhole Guy giving out orders to a group of Malton Rangers yesterday. They're moving out of Ridleybank, so sticking around is about to get extremely dangerous. Something else has happened too. Yesterday was sort of a blur, and I sort of wandered off the map a little. Long story short, I'm now in Stickling mall. Headed out to Bale. Hope you guys are alright. Redwave 16:28, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, the number of survivors in Ridleybank has dropped drastically since yesterday. That was a short run. I guess I'll start heading north. Tugbottom 19:45, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- I'm in the Bottom left corner in the mall. If you'll take a gander at the danger map you'll notice Yagoton is now in the red zone. Not sure on which corner needs us the most at the moment though... Redwave 00:52, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Where next? Well, Zed numbers are decreasing around the mall. We need a change of scenery I think. If you guys have any sugestions I'm happy to hear them. Redwave 02:01, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
The Mall Tour Tour
VICTORY! Brothers, we have won the day. Pitneybank's danger level is now at Moderate. The suburb has been saved. And we can say that we have fought with honour and valor in the fashion becoming of great men such as ourselves. Victory party over at Team Recon's Pad. We're moving on to Ridleybank next. Operation Bastard Aardwolf is right around the corner... Redwave 22:13, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Gary Flamer: It is my sad duty to announce the resigation of Gary from urban dead. We will continue to provide the fine kill count we've built up. Additionally we will continue to roam the Pitneybank area in search of good fights. We'll just be a little more compact now. That is all. Redwave 23:29, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
BLC: The bottom left corner is suffering the worst of it. We really need more people down there. We gotta hold fast this time. Redwave 14:38, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Januray 12, 2007: As it turns out, I had two needles on me. Tug and NeWbeD are back, no sign of Gary. Redwave 12:07, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Januray 10, 2007: Good work people. Giddings has been re-occupied, our mission was a success. I didn't expect the mall to be online so soon, but now we defend it. So, everyone get to the mall. We're nearly there! Redwave 21:08, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Additionally: If you need revives, go to Walrond square. It should get cranking along soon.
- Lo Siento: Well, I have no medical supplies left. I used my only syringe to revive Sgt Wyant and I used like 140000 FAKs on you guys. Sorry but I can't help right now. January 11, 2007 -Wandering Insouciant
Update: Alright, no problem. Me and Tug should have enough to get evryone back up. Redwave 23:33, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
January 9, 2007: The bottom part of Pitneybank looks to be under firm survivor controll. Makes our job one hell of a lot easier. Our semi-private revive point is now Rowlatt Row, south west of St. Benedicts Hospital. Team Recon, feel free to wait here as well, we got enough revives to go around. An important notice to all members involved, don't bunch up! If we spread out across several EHB buildings, only one or two of us could possibly get killed at once. Then it's just a matter of reviving. Alright, break people. And stay alive!. Redwave 21:05, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
January 8 th, 2007: Hey guys, I haven't been on in a while...cause I've been dead...and now I'm back. Thanks go out to Wandering Insouciant. Me and him are in the Collins building just waiting...I'm infected and he's out of first aid kits. (Used them all on you guys I heard). Anyways, there are 6 zombies to our north, and thats the only way to get back in here, so I don't know...just do something...please. -Sgt Wyant
Update: So do you guys need help, or are you just waiting for the AP to get some FAKs? We're fine up here, I left our location with W'I when we moved, but that's in history, and in case you forgot It's somewhere in this page. Good luck out there, hope you can join us. Redwave 12:11, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
January 8, 2007: In the immortal words of Ork warlord Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka, "ERE WE GO, ERE WE GO, ERE WE GO." In other words, we are back in buisness baby, Oh YEAH!
January 7, 2007: It's official, as of tommorow, WE'RE GOIN BACK IN! A tentitive location to set up in, for the first day at least, is Bromley Auto Repair. Grab your gunz people! GoGoGoGoGO! Redwave 22:10, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Update: Bromley no longer is a viable location, today I'm going to find a forward command post. I'll get back to you. Redwave 11:45, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
January 2, 2007: NEW PLAN. Everybody listen up. Pitneybank is becoming quite a tumor for all the surrounding burbs, and it looks like it's up to us to stop it... again. First we all gotta get to the Caffin Building in Edgecombe. We can stock up on needles, and get ammo from the PD a block away, and it's close to a revive point for those of us who are dead. We'll come up with a solid plan after we get together. Good luck out there! Redwave 00:48, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Update: I'm currently on vacation, but I found an Internet cafe and decided to log on and use up my accumulated AP. I'm now in the Caffin Building, but I'll just be standing there doing nothing until I get home this Saturday. Good luck, guys! Tugbottom 02:10, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Update: Ugh, WTF? Caffin country just got knocked over. The PD, the warehouses, and the Necro Tech are all blowed up. We need a new muster point. Pronto! Redwave 00:15, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- Update: Hey guys, long time no see. I have been taking a breather from the game. I was away for a few days and it turns out I was only a few buildings away from where you guys were! I read your post and went over to the building to find it over run. If you want to join me, just ask and I will let you know where I am. Empty building and the cades have not been damaged once in a whole week! 4 January 2007 Wandering Insouciant
Update: Ok, where? I've been running for days from place to place. I'm in St. Louis' Hospital trying to get some sleep, but the banging on the doors is awfully loud ... Redwave 05:54, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Location: The location was announed, but I erased it for secrecy. Contact me to find the location guys. Redwave 23:51, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
January 1, 2007: Happy New Year! I'm sharing a bottle of what my be fermented sunney delight with a couple guys in the Dewell Building. If your in the area feel free to drop in. Redwave 05:33, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Sound Off Men! I'm swaying around in a graveyard next to Sgt. Wyant. Don't worry, I taped my guns to my hands so I didn't loose them this time. Redwave 02:28, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
December 29, 2006: Today looks a lot better than yesterday. Everyone is now alive and well, and better yet, in the Hospital. We're trying to hold the place down, and so far I don't think anyone has noticed us... yet. Redwave 22:09, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
The Plan: This time, there will be decoy buildings. We'll start with a nice barricaded certain resource point nearby, with a few useless buildings mixed in for flavor, and some good old Alberta stake to garnish. Also, if the places 'cades start to go down like during final day at the warehouse we bail to a decoy, so the Zeds find an empty building and need to crack another one open. Then when they switch over to attack another building we switch back. If we do it right we should be harder to flush out than a tunnel network full of locust. As for the logistics situation, FAKs and needles are on hand or will be soon, ammo can be found less than 10 AP away in Edgecombe, and Gennys are a bad idea so don't even think about it. If anyone has more ideas feel free to add them here. Redwave 22:09, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
$#!+ Ferals just overturned the Hospital. Everyone is dead but me. I'm mad, how the hell did this happen? We keep trying to fight these things but we just can't win. I'm taking a few days off to grab some ammo, then I'm going to go commando on this burbs ass. We'll see who's left then, we'll see... Redwave 00:05, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
December 28, 2006: Ok, here's the situation. The warehouse has been ransacked. Tugbottom is alive, (I think), NeWbeD and I are dead and waiting for revives in Edgecombe and Team Recon is scattered across Spracklingbank. We need a safehouse in Spracklingbank, or possibly Pegton, to hide and regroup in. Also if you're going to post something on Team Recon's wiki page, put it in the disscussion section to keep the place clean. Ok, get yourselves fed and revived. If you aren't dead we need scouting info on the St. Benedicts or any possible safehouses in Pegton or Spracklingbank, near a police department and with a nice view of the sunset. Good luck.
- Update: I'm afraid that I actually am dead. Once I have some more AP I'm going to head down to the revive point in Edgecombe because it seems to be the fastest in the area, and I'll look out for possible safehouses on the way. I noticed that the warehouse just north of Giddings was barricaded, so we could try going there. Tugbottom 04:24, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Update: Pegton doesn't seem to good right now, I spent about 30 AP searching and most of the buildings are opened up. I think we should try Paynterton. Redwave 13:46, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
The Hospital: NeWbeD has taken back the hospital single handedly! All Rangers are to report there as soon as possible, we're going to hold it this time. Lets take Aardwolf Country back, It's been way too long. Redwave 18:02, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Update: That's great, I'm alive again and heading there now. If anyone still needs to get revived I have a syringe on me. Tugbottom 20:59, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
High five! The Rangers all met in the hospital for the first time in a week. The flag was run up, and all the drinks were mixed together and shared around. Redwave 21:26, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Fall of the P.D.: The P.D. is under attack! I am critically wounded and am low on ammo. Oh God! They're all around me...Help!... -Sgt Wyant
December 27, 2007: I say we keep the Genney, it will attract survivors too. But I think we need some decoy buildings, lit ones if possible, to throw the Zeds off a little. Maybe Davenport or Maggs Cinema? Redwave 16:36, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Update: Sounds good...how's the P.D. holding though...I don't wanna flee to an EHB safehouse which I can't get in or to a destroyed building housing half of Hades. On the note of the generator, as quite a few nondescript survivors have been pointing out, I say we keep it on...a message of defiance to the undead...We are alive, and we are going to kill you...whats your opinion...I know its drawing a hell of a lot of undead (no pun intended). -Sgt Wyant
The Mall: No no you're fine, Lord knows I used your wiki page enough in the last few days. But on to buisness, these Zombies are organised. Morrish got hit pretty hard too, they're at VS. I chose to ditch and come to Whiskey Echo Foxtrot. If this is another horde moving in I don't think we have a chance at the mall, too many dead and not enough revives. Sgt, did the Zeds attacking you have group affiliations? If so, we need to re-evaluate our staying at the warehouse for the short term. But if this is the Ferals just attacking again in a better fashion, we still have a hope. Still our biggest problem is manpower, maybe 40 people max are around the mall, that's just not enough. Also, we need a bale out point in case the warehouse goes down again. I suggest Chippet Grove PD in Spracklingbank, it worked before.
December 26, 2006: Listen, I don't know if I'm out a line here, broadcasting on your wiki-freq, but you might want to take another look at that mall. The undead have moved back in, last time I checked there were roughly 50 or 60 or em and they ment business. They hit me within the first few seconds I saw em, barely escaped with my life. Anyways...they know we're here...the Warehouse I mean...I've spend so much time trying to keep the barricades up but I don't know how much longer they will last. We need to attack Giddings one more time...if we fail now, we won't be able to strike again till the middle of January...They're still weak, there's still time...I'll be waiting... -Sgt Wyant
December 26, 2006: The mall is now under human control. We've won. Everyone should focus your attacks against the Morrish Building, we need to help kick the revive lines into shape. The Hospital can come later. Redwave 15:41, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
UPDATE: Ok, I was a little premature on the declaration of victory, but the mall is a lot better now than it was a week ago. We do need to get a necrotech running though. Redwave 22:43, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
UPDATE: I got killed trying to defend Boutcher Alley, so I'm going to try to find a revive point. The Morrish Building seems to have been retaken, but there are 60 zombies at Walrond Square so I think I might head down to Edgecombe where the lines are shorter. Tugbottom 23:19, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
December 25, 2006: Excellent work people! The war for Pitneybank is on, Humans and Zeds are fighting across all 4 squares of Giddings. The warehouse was the tip of the spear. We did something big here. You can thank Sgt Wyant for rallying the people you've seen coming through, he's being rallying survivors for as long as we've been holding down the warehouse. It looks like the area is going to be a battlefield for a couple days, so grab a spear and start trenchcoating!
On a final note, has anyone seen Gary or Wandering'Insouciant? It seems like they've dropped off the face of the earth. Redwave 01:50, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
December 23, 2006:' I have made my wap up after being revivified and found shelter with Redwave and Tugbottom.--NeWbeD 17:28, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Gary, get to the warehouse, ASAP.
Codename: Forget calling "it" Valhalla. We'll use Team Recons designation, Whiskey Echo Foxtrot. This will prevent confusion from happening as our groups will be working closely together for the next little while. Redwave 23:51, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
December 22, 2006 Our strike target has been changed, we now fight for our lives. 33 minutes till go time. Good luck to all involved. This mission will most likely result in all of our deaths, may Odin be with us. And Gary, get the hell to the front! Redwave 00:27, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Mission Accomplished: Although with only 50% of the projected troops we managed to take our objective. In order to talk openly it will be codenamed "Vallhalla". Please do not speak the locations co-ordinates or the name of the building. We don't want to bring down the whole suburb on us now do we? Redwave 02:52, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
December 19, 2006: Ok guys, after you all get revived come to St. Lawerence Hospital in the top right of Edgecombe. We need to regroup so we can start the campaign to restore Pitneybank. Redwave 12:18, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Operation Ardicade will go into full swing tomorrow night. Rest up. Anyone with AP to burn, we need to find an EHB HQ to all meet up at on Edgecomb's border. I'd find one myself, but I spent all my AP looking for spray cans to tweak the Zeds once we go back. Redwave 21:19, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Safehouse: I've found a safehouse. I'll tell you guys where tommorow. If anyone has AP to burn, call me. Im not bringing Zeds down on top of this one, It's so close I can see Giddings burning in the distance... Redwave 00:38, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Operation Ardicade2 Son of Ardicade
Clutter: Well, looking around your wiki page I seem to have made a mess of things what with the constant updates and all. I think it's safe enough to start posting information on Whiskey Echo Foxtrot on its page, it'll let you clean up around here. The warehouse hasn't been broken into for two days, I figure its about time we stopped concealing this stuff and let you guys have your wiki page back. I'm not going to advertise though, that'd be a mite foolish methinks. Redwave 22:34, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Update: No Need to Fear, The Insouciant is here. Sort of. I took a break for a few days but I am back now. I am off in God-Knows-Where and awaiting a revive. I was taken down in my absence. Cowards. I have been working on a lot of backstuff for Team Recon. I set up an email address for us. team-recon@hotmail.com All communiqués should be sent there along with requests to join Team Recon. I wrote up an application form and I am working on some SOPs and a Mission Statement. My grand vision is of a completely tactical group with an overly complex system of organization. I will try and return to Whiskey Echo Foxtrot ASAP. I suggest we hold off on mentioning anything Redwave. Of course it is just as much your home as mine. I want to get a little more organized before we start anything. I am working on returning now; I need some spray cans to return my mark to my home. 26 December 2006 -Wandering Insouciant
- Update: I am at Walrond square ATM if anyone can spare a revive. 9 zombies outside Whiskey Echo Foxtrot also.
Publicity: The media blackout on the area has been pretty intense. Other than this page you'd never know there was the battle for the mall on. I'm thinking, should we announce our presence on the wiki? It would bring in alot of people, but it might also bring back the hordes too. I'm not sure, what do you think? Redwave 01:36, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Good Work!: I go for two days, and find the mall in the process of being taken back. I'm proud that the 4, (Gary is MIA), of us could do so much in so little time. I plan to more than make up for my absence. I checked the phone mast it's barricaded but not powered. Also I'm detecting familiar patterns in the mall, no-one is in the upper left corner short of the lonely Zed in Bob's Hardware. Also that corner is ransacked still. Fortunatly if they spread out there are more than enough people to take it back. On a final note, Tugbottom is holding Boucher Alley all by himself. If you're in the area could you take a few AP to barricade it a little? I'd do it but I'm out of AP. Keep it up! Redwave 01:31, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Sit Rep: Okay...I'm at Chippett Grove P.D. to the north of Pitneybank. I've spread the word to at least 200 survivors, not to mention those who may read my messages. I left Whiskey Echo Foxtrots freq (28.02) as well so keep your ears open. Hope you guys are still holding out down there. I should be back soon. I'm gonna come straight through the mall so be ready...most people think the massive hordes of undead are still there, thats why no one is helping...don't worry, I set'em straight. We got this thing, we finally got this thing.
Unfortunatly I haven't heard from Wandering Insouciant and neither has anyone whom I've met on my travels. Theres a lot of people just sitting around doing nothing, just waiting for a chance for revenge...they know Giddings needs re-taking, they just didn't know we were doing it now. We got this man. We got this. -Sgt Wyant
P.S. I'm running rather low on ammo, I've saved plenty of people and recovered about 3 or so buildings from the clutches of the undead. I'll try and restock here or in the mall. I should be fine but some cover fire would be greatly appreciated.
Sit Rep: Great news! One of the civilians I saved is Will Smogg...the William Smogg, (level 41) leader of the South Paynterton Aces...in recognition of helping them in their time of need, he has vowed to help aid our cause and will be sending some of his men in to help out as soon as humanly possible. Merry Christmas -Sgt Wyant
Sit Rep: No I still haven't heard from him yet...I've been asking, no one seems to know anything. Right now I'm laying low in an old cinema in Starlington, won't release the name...I just saved the few survivors inside from 2 zombies, dumped the bodies outside, and barricaded the doors. The inhabitants seem very hospitable, they offered to help treat my wounds, one of the zombies bit me before I could shoot him in the head.
So far the supply run is going great. I've got plenty of ammo, a generator, some fuel, and those christmas lights I promised...you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a decent tree these days.
I've spread the word around quite a bit, and even enlisted a few others to help our cause. You should start seeing an influx of survivors into the area soon, more notably from the northwest. Hope they get there in time.
Return Path: My supply run is nearing its end and I'll be headed for Whiskey Echo Foxtrot within the next cycle or so. Now listen and listen carefully...I'm gonna head into Pitneybank from the north, passing to the east of the mall. I'll stop and check out the P.D. there as well. Then I'll pass straight through Giddings, and meet you at Whiskey Echo Foxtrot. Exact times and proceedings will be posted as I feel they should be made known. See you guys soon and keep the back door open for me. -Sgt Wyant
Any sign of Wandering'Insouciant? He hasn't put anything on the wiki recently, I haven't heard anything from him in a while. W'I, if your out there, brodcast on the 26.70 or 28.02 frequencies. I'll hear you. Good luck out there. Redwave 15:01, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Sit Rep: We lost the resource building in the night. Tugbottom escaped unbelivably close to death, but I patched him up. Whiskey Echo Foxtrot is holding, and Zombies are drifting away from the mall. I can see two outside from the roof, and the old tunnels to Giddings have let me take counts of the numbers inside and outside, (just over 50 all together). Redwave 11:54, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
PS: We need more people up here, the barricades are falling again. Hope to see you soon. Redwave 12:45, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
To Redwave: Well I guess that's good news...at least it sounds good to me after all the runnin I have been doing recently. I just hope things stay the way they are. Everything is going smoothly on the supply run and I should be back within the next cycle or two...I'll keep you updated. I have a feeling we'll be back in control by Christmas. I'll bring the presents, you bring the eggnog!
Oh yeah...and have a good Christmas too (out of game I mean). -Sgt Wyant
Confirmation: Yes, Whiskey Echo Foxtrot is the building we've been mentioning. It's now populated by 3 of the Rangers and a few other random survivors. Tugbottom on his own has cleared and barricaded the resource building directly to our west, giving us an area to search for ammo. It's at very heavy, I needed to reinforce it though. Some Zed took a few swings at that building. The Whiskey Echo Foxtrot does not, repeat, does not have a single scratch on the barricades after 22 hours of solid occupation, the outlook for this operation is much better then the suicide mission it first seemed. As for Shacknews they all traveled directly north to the The Brain Museum and ZKed each other, none are left. I'm not sure what the RRF is planning or where they are, but the fact that Zombie numbers are dropping shows that they do not intend to hold the suburb.
On an out of charecter note, I'm going away for christmas for 2-3 days, but I think I might have one the Rangers run Redwave until I return.
Good luck, and may your headshots be spectacular. Redwave 23:40, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Whiskey Echo Foxtrot status update: It's been 25 hours since the premisis was taken back, (one full 50 AP period), and the barricades have been improved to EHB. Not a scratch on the outside, these Zombies are either waiting to strike at a coordinated time, or simply have no fight in them. Redwave 02:39, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
To Redwave: Well, sounds good to me. I'll check out the P.D. and see if he's there. I'll also bring some survivors back with me...count on it. We're not gonna screw up this time. I just need one thing clarified...are you guys at Whiskey Echo Foxtrot? It sounds like it but I can't be sure. Also, if you ever get in a jam just give a signal and I'll be there in a sec. I'll post my return path once I've got it all figured out.
Security Update I'm not so sure that all the PKers are gone. Rumors have reached my ears that some of the Shacknews guys are still around, or even members of some unidentified group. The validity of these rumors is questionable, but I wouldn't doubt anything right now. Lets just try and play this safe. Use the callsign, don't post vital data on 83,41's main page...its too frequented, keep to this page, and keep the lights off. Don't give away our position just yet...once we get settled in we can celebrate...hell, I'll even bring a christmas tree and some lights if you want.........Christmas........that word used to mean a lot 2 years ago.......lets try and make this Christmas as memorable as they used to be.......we can even bring in the New Year with some flares, but first lets get this business out of the way.
May your heart be strong, let your aim be true, and let your magazines runneth over -Sgt Wyant
The Plan: It's very simple. We hold the warehouse and do some hit and run on the Zombies in the area. With Shacknews and the RRF long gone, only the random solo Zombies remain. Less than 50 in the mall, and if we start to kill them off they may be convinced to move elsewhere. Also the number of Zombies in the suburb will go down as they have no survivors to eat. If we can hold on, the complete restoration of fortress Giddings may be possible in a few weeks. If you're on a supply run now try and rally some survivors with graffiti or words to come here. The more people the better. That's the plan. Good luck, and God speed.
PS: The last time I heard from Wandering'Insouciant was over the wireless. He was in Shadwick Walk Police department in Paynterton, alive and well. That was 2 or 3 days ago. Hope he resurfaces soon. Redwave 16:43, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
To Redwave: Hell ya! <shakes fist at sky>...Well lets do this thing...I'm in, just tell me where and when you guys are gonna hit'em and you can be sure I'll be there. I'm pretty decent on ammo but I'm gonna head over to Paynterton to gather up a few needed supplies. I should be back in about a day or two tops. Also, have you heard any news from Wandering Insouciant?...I heard you guys got separated and I've been looking all over for him...I pray he's still alive. -Sgt Wyant
To Sgt Wyant: The Rangers have come. Half of us are en route, half have cleared the area and are holding. We need to stand together, all of us. The longer this goes on, the harder Pitneybank will be to get back. If we don't act, all who have died in the past week will have died in vain. All who died defending St. Benedicts, all who died defending the warehouse, and all who died defending Giddings. Now is the pivitol moment in Pitneybank's, nay, Malton's history. Cagier is gone, Giddings is gone. The main bastions of power in the city lie burning. Now is the time for action. We had the beginnings of something great, lets win it back shall we?
