Description

A broad street, next to the Imber Road Railway Station and the famous Club Normandare.

History

In the 16th century, the entire area, including Stowell Road, was a pasture, belonging to Johann Elders' Sön, a wealthy and generous man who had immigrated from Scandinavia for unclear reasons.

Over the next centuries, Elderssön's family blended in with the local population, and the name gradually changed to the more modern Eldersson and eventually Alderson.

Alderson Street was a quiet road, commissioned in the 1970s by the Malton City Council. Much of its pavement has been broken away since the outbreak in 2005, as a result of survivors looking for materials to build their barricades with.
