INTERVIEW WITH DAISY PUSHER OF THE FLOWERS OF DISEASE
Devourer of Worlds recently sat down with FOD member, Daisy Pusher. One of the mysterious Tabula Rasa, he helps direct and lead this group during these dark days of Malton. To some, the FOD are Pkers, to others, they fill a much needed role amidst the crumbling city. Friend or Foe? You decide.
DW - Why call yourselves Flowers of Disease?
DP - There are many ways of interpreting our name, perhaps its just a song that happened to be in one of our heads at a certain time... I like to think that the Disease is this city and the rot that breeds from it. We are a thing of beauty, the Flowers, a symbol of hope against the tirade of ignorance and apathy some citizens of Malton happily invite.
DW - How did the group form?
DP - The group formed when myself and Rob Collick were sickened by the growing presence of necrophiles in the quiet suburb of Dunningwood. We described the situation to Hiber, who was happy to join in our struggle and offer some organization. Something had to be done to stop the zombies from taking over the town; rather than fighting the war in the usual method, we hit the suvivors who weren't pulling their weight. And a job well done it was too.
DW - Why do you PK?
DP - We all PK. The zombies PK the survivors, the survivors PK the zombies. Its nonsense to pretend otherwise, so I don't think PKing is the crime that some class it as. If the question was "Why do you choose to shoot survivors over zombies?", then you might have had a more meaningful answer.
DW - Tell us about your experience at the Samhain Slaughter?
DP - Like all my kills; I am saddened by them and full of sorrow. I shot four people dead that day. I killed without prejudice and without mercy. Why? People who sleep in malls and in forts are playing an unrealistic game. The humans, ultimately, cannot win this war, but they can make the streets a safer place to live in by spreading the resources and having some strong organization. Mall-rot humans aren't doing this, they need waking up, to realise safety isn't just about holing up and hoping the undead go away- because they won't. Unfortunately shooting people, making them realize nowhere is safe, is the only way to get the message across.
DW - Tell us about some of your past Campaigns...why you choose who you choose and what you hoped to accomplish?
DP - We choose those that are willing to hand the city over to the zombies, whether it be because they waste AP collecting artifacts to decorate their HQs or making clever in-game speeches, whether it is because they let the revive points clog up with rotters, whether it be that they overcade the entry points because of their selfishness. The Cult of the Crocodile are typical of these humans. With our activities, we forced the Crocs to spread out and get the revives queues running and the Necrotech biuldings powered. Anyone saying that our tactics don't work is ignorant of the truth.
DW - How does your group measure up with some of the other PKer groups around?
DP - We are in a different league playing a different game. We punish those who need punishing, in this way we are more like the Malton Rangers...
...But if you must know, we are amongst the best, and getting better all the time.
DW - What is your opinion on Bounty Hunters?
DP - The Flowers of Disease should be immune to the Rogues Gallery and all that use it. Bounty Hunters are PKers too, what makes them so special that they aren't tracked by underhanded methods? Bounty Hunters have their place, but not in any business concerning the FoD. We look after our own.
DW - What direction do you see the FOD going in the future?
DP - We are reaching our group limit so growth isn't our plan. You will see us raise up the stats page though. You will see the graffiti of our enemies, warning you of our presence. You will see our names on the Wiki as we continue our good work. And if you participate in necrophilic activities, then you feel our punishment.
DW - Are you still recruiting?
DP -There are currently two more positions available. We expect these to be taken up fairly quickly. From then on, it's dead man shoes. But we are a very close knit group with 100% dedication from everyone, so the opportunities will be rare.
DW - What is the most important quality a potential recruit should have?
DP - Self control. Ours is not the job of the bloodthirsty or the trigger happy. We probably make less kills per month than any Pro-survivor or any Zombie, but our kills, ironically, save lives.
DW - If you had one word to describe the following, what would it be?
1. Karth Salvage----->True Professional
2. FOD--------------->The best group in the game
3. PKA--------------->A good idea crudely executed
4. Rogues Gallery---->Spyware and should be treated as such
5. Almighty Power---->Untrue Professional
6. Pissed------------>You lost me.
7. Timezones--------->Another challenge to overcome in our quest to put things right.
DW - Thank you for your time.
DP - It has been a pleasure and thank you for having me.
