"This is our city. Ours to corrupt. Ours to enslave. The gods will not be denied of their prize."
Chaos and the Warp
Warp is described as a realm of thought, where desires and emotions can take physical form, and with currents and eddies that make traveling vast interstellar distances difficult, yet possible. As this is a realm of thought, a coalescence yields an often sinister warp entity. The strongest of these entities are the Chaos Gods, Khorne (a god of rage, bloodshed, and war), Nurgle (a god of despair, decay and pestilent disease), Tzeentch (a god of change, deception, scheming, Sorcery, and oddly enough hope) and Slaanesh (a god of pleasure, pain, depravity, pride and decadence).
The Gods of Chaos are the result of the strongest impulses in the living souls of the universe's inhabitants. Their cults have a dynamic and antagonistic relationship. Khorne opposes Slaanesh, while Nurgle opposes Tzeentch. Nurgle is the personification of stagnation, Tzeentch personifies continuing change, Khorne personifies duty and rage, and Slaanesh personifies the epicurean or the sensual. These four powers are not the only entities in the Warp, but they are the greatest and most powerful. It is said that the nature of the Warp is beyond human comprehension and is truly unknowable.
The Followers of Chaos
The followers of Chaos are many and varied. They range from the bloodthirsty berzerkers of khorne, to the cool and collected deciples of Tzeentch. They give their souls to the God's for many reasons. Maybe they have been betrayed and seek revenge. Maybe they seek to further their knowledge. Maybe they're just looking for a short-cut to power. Whatever their resons for joining, they are invariably dangerous and unstable individuals.
The Four Colors of Chaos
The Cult has four distinct branches, each with their own goals, methods and leadership. Aspirants are required to do some time working for the cult, however, before they are invited to join a church.
Recruitment
Those who wish to be inducted into the ranks of the Cult have to post their intentions on our talk page, or track us down in-game. Once we are aware of you, you will be asked to do a certain ritual or task in the presence of a Cult member. This task will probably involve some sort of skill, so it is best to have some experience. Once this is completed an aspirant will be given membership as a cultist and given acess to certain resources. To join a Church will require further ritual.
Goals
Although the Cult would rather leave it's more important, long term plans in the dark, it has been deemed necesary to make some of their smaller goals public.
Conversion
The Cult is currently accepting aspirants from all walks of Malton Life, as well as all experience levels. The Gods don't care what you've done, only what you could potentially do...
The Search for the Four
The four churches of the dark powers are currently leaderless. The Cult is searching for four aspirants that wish to lead the various churches. Needless to say to be accepted you need to be exceptional in some way.
