Malton Police Department

Description

The general celtic heritage of the surrounding villages has often been contested within the Daynes Alley area. There have been discussions of the possibly that it is a reference to the "Danes" of Denmark, who settled within the district in large quantities during the industrilization of the surrounding area. Officers with last names such as "Erickson" have been used to aid this speculation.

Or even the potential that is is in regards to the group of confectionaires known especially for their Krunchy Kreme "Danishes". As these treats are a mainstay of Daynes Alley, as well as many other departments throughout Malton (in spite of their constant labor shortages due to the zed outbreak).

Both of these theories, however, lost much of their credibility when it was revealed that the first chief of Daynes Alley was not Alfred "Large Belly" Thumpbings as had largely been believed. During the initial stages of the outbreak, police departments across Malton did their best to combat the zed outbreak, but the rapid speed with which the infection spread stretched their resources to the breaking point. Daynes Alley was forced to shore up within their own walls, making excursions only to attempt at a restoration of the peace.

The situation continued bleakly, with Daynes Alley slowly losing its strength. Until, finally, while exploring the cellars for ammunition false wall was discovered. For years, it had been hidden behind unused supplies and with their usage, it was now revealed. The officers were intrigued and soon began to daily chip away at its exterior, even going so far as to give up their patrolling.

Soon they were through, and what they found were files upon files of the department's true history. A fascinating tale of the true story of the department ran quite contrary to the former stories.

It seemed that back in the day there had been a sheriff known by the name of.............

Barricade Policy

Per the Stanbury Village Barricade Plan, this police station should be enterable and thus at most VSB+2; but in case of heavy zombie presence it will be barricaded as much as possible. Entry point when necessary and possible at St. Maria's Church (1 block North).

Current Status

17 July, 2012 - No survivors, only one or two zombies, building completely ruined.--itsV 12:47, 17 July 2012 (BST)

History

6 June 2009 - Barricaded to VHB in violation of the plan -- should be enterable at VSB. Suggested to enter from 1E or 1N. There's a generator running. I think there's only one zombie outside so barricade should be brought down to VSB. --Bradleesand 22:40, 6 June 2009 (BST)

2009-May-11 - Barricaded to HB in violation of the plan -- should be enterable at VSB, although recent heavy zombie activity make over-barricading understandable. Eleven zombies and seven dead bodies outside the building. No additional zombie on local map. --Lariat2301 03:05, 12 May 2009 (BST)

7 May 2009 - Wide open and ruined. Eight zombies outside, unknown how many might be inside. Seventeen dead bodies on premises. Three more zombies were on the local map, one east and two south. --Lariat2301 13:13, 7 May 2009 (BST)

27 August 2008 - EHB. 1 zed outside. Looks like its holdin for now. --Danceyman 23:16, 27 August 2008 (BST)

June 18, 2008: Ruined, 11 zeds inside--Scott Timewell

January 26, 2008: Currently EHB and good number of survivors inside. Entry point is 1 North.

December 22 2007: EHB'd nearly got killed trying to sprint to it.... idiots cant fallow barricde plan or zombie spy is inside. 1:04PM EST (-5GMT)

October 31, 2007 Lights currently off, which seems like a bad sign.   --cuio (talk) (NW) 03:25, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Lost to zeds --Foxxx222 20:52, 18 June 2007 (BST)
