October Actions

October 21st

IJA Actions:On this day, the 大日本帝國陸軍 launched its first assault into the Creedy Defense Force's heartland, Pitneybank. Members of the first division assaulted a stronghold of survivors in St. Benedict's Hospital, which had sixteen veteran survivors inside, and proceeded to destroy the generator, kill all of the defenders (only one of whom, however, was an actual member of the Creedy Defense Force), and occupy the building, dealing a severe blow to Pitneybank recovery efforts. Shortly thereafter, remnants of the first division which had not yet seen action also seized the sparsely defended Farmer Building, which was lightly defended by two veteran survivors. All in all, eighteen survivors fell before Japan's grand army this day.

CDF Actions: The Creedy Defense Force responded to reports of increased zombie activity in South Pitneybank. Members of the first and second squads assaulted the Farmer Building, which was defended by four zombies, four of which were known members of the 大日本帝國陸軍. The Farmer Building was repaired and barricaded. Shortly thereafter remnants of the second squad took one look at St. Benedict's Hospital, which was defended by 20 zombies and concluded that while their coordination was very impressive, the tactical abilities of their commanding officer left something to be desired. --Spider1 09:52, 22 October 2011 (BST)

Creedy Defense Force Response and Declaration of War, 10/20/2011

Sir,

On the evening of October 18th a lone malinger in the CDF forum learned that Japanese forces without previous warning either in the form of a declaration of war or of an ultimatum with a conditional declaration of war had attempted a landing on the coast of Pegton and bombed The Rowcliffe Building and Cowing Way Police Department.

In view of these wanton acts of unprovoked aggression committed in flagrant violation of International Law and particularly of Article I of the Third Hague Convention relative to the opening of hostilities, to which both Japan and the CDF are parties, an ambassador at Tokyo has been instructed to inform the Imperial Japanese Government in the name of Admin 'tumbleweed' Board in the CDF Forum that a state of war exists between our two groups.

I have the honour to be, with high consideration,

Sir, Your obedient servant, 'Spider'[1]

Formal Declaration of War by the Imperial Japanese Army, 10/19/2011.

By the grace of Heaven, Emperor of Japan, seated on the throne occupied by the same dynasty from time immemorial.

We hereby declare War on the Creedy Defense Force, the suburb of Pitneybank, and all who come to their aid. The men and officers of Our Army shall do their utmost in prosecuting the war. Our public servants of various departments shall perform faithfully and diligently their respective duties; the entire nation with a united will shall mobilize their total strength so that nothing will miscarry in the attainment of Our war aims.

The hallowed spirits of Our Imperial Ancestors guarding Us from above, We rely upon the loyalty and courage of Our subjects in Our confident expectation that the task bequeathed by Our forefathers will be carried forward and that the sources of evil will be speedily eradicated and an enduring peace immutably established in Pitneybank, preserving thereby the glory of Our Empire.

In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hand and caused the Grand Seal of the Empire to be affixed at Fort Creedy, Pitneybank, this Nineteenth day of the 10th month of two-thousand and eleven, corresponding to the 2,712nd year from the accession to the throne of Emperor Jimmu.[2]
