It seems there is more to this Franklin fellow than we suspected.
According to NecroTech publicity materials, George Franklin joined the research firm in 1985 as a low-level chemist at the London Office. From there, he quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Chief Executive Officer by 1999. A survey of NecroTech employee directories from 1985 onwards corroborates some elements of the official account; he is listed in the 1985 edition as a "junior associate researcher" in London, and eventually as "associate researcher" and "research fellow." The 1992 edition lists him as "Project Leader" at the Blackmore Building, one of NecroTech's "semi-secret" underground labs. Alarmingly, however, his name is not present in any directory thereafter until 1997, where he is listed as a member of the Board of Directors.
What was George Franklin doing for those five years?
