Description
You are inside McNamara Cinema, its auditorium in darkness. The building has fallen into ruin, and with the lights out, you can hardly see anything. The doors to the street have been secured.
History
McNamara Cinema was a popular sight for the showing of documentary newsreels back in the 1950's. In 1955, it reached its zenith as one of Wykewood's most popular places. Tickets purchased at McNamara's were far cheaper than those of other cinemas, and it was also one of the oldest in the suburb.
By 1988, however, McNamara was losing business steadily. It's tiny structure and cramped viewing space was only intended for a small audience, not the large crowds which had flocked there in the 1960's and 1950's. It was eventually purchased by a Japanese film company, which showed the film 'In the Realm of the Senses' every year until 1990, when the cinema finally closed for good. Over the years, it has fallen into disrepair and suffers from a sagging roof, ruined interior, and stagnant pools of water collecting in its lobby, which is still carpeted with the pitiful remains of a once-plush red carpet.
Barricade Policy
According to the Wykewood Barricade Plan, this building is to be barricaded at EHB.
