Basic Info:

  • Malls are an excellent place to find a wide range of items; the only major items that cannot be found here are fuel cans. As such, Malls are frequently used as safehouses and fortresses by survivors. Zombies often check inside (when they can get in), and organized zombie groups sometimes lay siege to them. They are listed as a Tactical Resource Point.

Monroeville Mall is a seven-block mall located on the edge of the South West subdivision of the dense urban area of West Monroeville. It is an island, surrounded by carparks with the exception of the north and south ends, which overlook Paxton Square and a wasteland, respectively. Monroeville mall is notable for several reasons, including the facts that it is the only known mall with seven blocks, formed like a cross with an extra block on the east and west ends, that it is one of the places where cameras can be found to record diaries, and that it is a real-life building that was used as a shooting location for George Romero's Dawn of the Dead film.

A record of Monroeville Mall's first ruining is found Here.

The mall has fallen, I was making my way to a friend in Newtown, and I needed supplies, but the place is completely ransacked! Zombies everywhere around it, we need a task force to glue it back together!

The PKers are still killing people foolish enough to come to the Monroeville Mall for supplies. Coelacanth1938

It's a trap! The Monroeville Mall is inhabited by lowlife PKers who murder survivors coming in for supplies. Stay away from the Monroeville Mall!! (He's lying)(No, I'm not) Monroeville Mall has no PKers or Zeds. No reason to worry. Coelacanth1938

More survivors are coming (20+), the building has a generator and fuel. The zombies are gone I think, I can't find even one, I'm full of ammo, but no zombs at sight...--Federico Skywalker 13:54, 8 April 2008 (BST)

Not a zack to be seen in the area. Hell, I can't even find any dead bodies. This is about as safe an area as apocalypses can come. Aaron 4 16:08, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

A survivor with the construction skill was seen barricading the East end of the mall with mannequins and sale signs. It will take more than one brave soul to complete the work. AgentAnderson 116 17:07, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

So yeah, about half of the mall is lit, all sections loosely barricaded until a survivor with construction comes along. Jordan Salafack 06:50, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
