History of New Arkham

New Arkham was built in the early seventies after Old Arkham (named Arkham at the time) was running out of spare land. New Arkham was advertised as a lively new neighbourhood. Unfortunately, it's distant location from the nerve-centers of Malton City and malls, the neighbourhood failed to attract large crowds. There are still large areas of unbuilt wasteland. Some say it's status as a quiet neighbourhood has attracted Necrotech activity. The lack of police stations in the area has also made it a promising area for certain more or less unlawfull activities, resulting in the creation of Citizen's Militia, which at the begining of the Outbreak proved to be stronger than thought.

New Arkham and the Evacuation

Being at the edge of the quarantine zone, New Arkham served a major role in the Evacuation process. Unfortunately, not nearly all that had gathered there got past the concrete walls, resulting in rapid spreading of the undead menace within the refugees. Certain groups, allied with MFD struggle to control the hordes, but with the lack of firearms in the suburb, the struggle seems in vain.

...

I was in New Arkham at the begining of the outbreak, but as the situation proved hazardous, I headed north-east, what goes on in New Arkham after my depature, is a mystery to me, but rumour has it, that the human resistance hold it's stand.
