Permanent Death

Permanent death (a.k.a. permadeath) is the termination of both life and undeath of a game character -- in essence, the destruction of a character.

Urban Dead does not support permadeath. All player characters are, as it were, immortal. Characters may change state from living to undead — and back — as the game goes on, but no character ever fully dies.

This is fortunate, because people can get quite attached to their characters and to have them destroyed would be sad and frustrating.

The absence of permanent death allows players more freedom, as they can put their characters into more dangerous situations. Also, if one dies because of a mistake and returns back to life, the user will gain a very useful lesson.
