Description

The current state of the exterior hides what a truly beautiful building this is, boasting a remarkable Art Deco interior, the work of renowned Russian designer and director Theodore Komisarjevsky.

It is the only Malton cinema which retains an original Christie theatre organ in situ and is an important landmark for students and aficionados of cinema history.

History

Ruddle Cinema was a popular point for Malton citizens towatch movies and was in it`s prime in the early 1990s however was begining to degrade just before the outbreak.

According to the Provisional Danversbank Barricade Plan, this building should be kept at Extremely Heavily Barricaded (EHB) at all times.
