20070628 Separate Speech AP
Vault 22:30, 28 June 2007 (BST)
Suggestion type
Speech change
Suggestion scope
All players
Suggestion description
Players would no longer use their AP for speaking. I'm proposing a separate source of "speech points", and players can use these to talk, message on mobile phones, or broadcast on the radio. If the player has no speech points left, they could use their AP as normal. This could be a solution to the "free speech" suggestions.
EDIT: I was going for about 3-5 SPs, but this would probably generate spam in some way.

Kill Votes
- Kill - With communication costing AP, people actually have to consider if what they're about to say is worth sepnding an AP on. It'd be less so, if you had a seperate speech AP-pool. - BzAli 22:33, 28 June 2007 (BST)
- Clarify -How many "Speech AP" you have makes a big difference. If, say, about 5 max and recharges at about 1/day, then great. If it's the same as AP... I just don't want to go there.--AlexanderRM 23:19, 28 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I would like to see a little more thoughtful talking in-game though.-- dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 00:08, 29 June 2007 (BST)
Spam/Dupe Votes
- Spam - Communication matters, the fact that it takes AP makes you think about what you say and how you say it. Changing that would not only be like giving a free lunch it would be making a survivor advantage over zombie players an even bigger advantage. Don't do that.--karek 22:46, 28 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam If this was implemented, It would cause lots of useless spam.--Seventythree 22:50, 28 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam I see how this doesn't work now... blah, kill it. Vault 22:56, 28 June 2007 (BST)
