99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall
Timestamp: | Darth LumisT! A! E! 19:56, 22 November 2007 (UTC) |
Type: | Flavor! |
Scope: | Survivors with bottles of beer or wine. |
Description: | Inside a building, in the player's inventory next to their beer/wine, will be a button called "Stack Bottles." (Text: You stack the bottles against a wall.) Once stacked, the bottles will appear in the building description along with any other decorative items. (Text: Someone has decorated the room with a cubist sculpture, and there are 99 bottles of beer stacked against the wall.) Other people may add to the stack as well. Also, when drinking beer or wine within a building, the empty bottle automatically gets added to the stack, instead of just being discarded. |
Discussion (99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall)
Ransack have any effect? Obviously this isn't like other decorations, but could be fun. - Whitehouse 20:05, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- What does ransack usually do to decorative items? --Darth LumisT! A! E! 20:40, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- Nothing, just wondering if this would be any different (opportunity to allow more than 5 bottles to be destroyed), it is somewhat differently built up, that is why I asked. - Whitehouse 20:43, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- Oh. I may consider adding an effect for ransack if you really want me to. --Darth LumisT! A! E! 20:50, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- Nah, don't bother. Might lose votes, simplicity is a winner. - Whitehouse 21:08, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

I'd vote keep for this--Corndoghero 20:58, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
ALCOHOL ABUSE! beer is for drinking... not for making plant holders and bookshelves, SHEEEEEEEEESH! unless it's american beer... that shit kills zombies. i mean kills them. dead. forever. --WanYao 21:47, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
I like it! It's like a decoration, except it can be fun. Defend the alcohol at all costs! Also, as a potential suggestion, each bottle could count as 1 hit point, and if a zed does 3 damage, then three bottles will crack and be destroyed. --The Trichloroethane Potato SGP E! RQ! - I like that! BoboTalkClown 01:57, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thinking in terms of realism, and a way to piss off a dedicated "bottle stacker" - one hit destroys the ENTIRE stack (25% chance), and others in the room witness it happening. I can see the hunting parties forming now!--Actingupagain 14:55, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - Pardus 00:29, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
How about, have it so if you drink a bottle inside a building then (and only then)the empty bottle gets stacked up, with a running total of the empties displayed as decoration. i.e You are in the pisshead arms. there are 34 bottles stacked up on shelves and along the bar". Could lead to all sorts of fun drinking contests--SeventythreeTalk 00:32, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- Consider it done, 73. That's a great idea! --Darth LumisT! A! E! 18:45, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Nice little addition that would be, although if it went that way, being drunk has to go in at the same time, then it gets really crazy--Zach016 02:07, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Can you take the bottles back? BoboTalkClown 02:54, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- No, that would lead to people messing with each other's stuff (remember the suggestion that allowed players to remove museum pieces from a building.. ugh!) --Darth LumisT! A! E! 18:45, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
New building: Bottle Bank!--SeventythreeTalk 11:16, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Fun but pretty pointless unless you take it down 73's empty bottle stack... Kinda reminds me of conversations in the Hardinge ;) --Honestmistake 11:51, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
