Hit point error
i am having a problem with my zombie. Every time i tell him to stand up after dieing his hit points are reported as dead instead of 50.
- He's dead because he's a zombie. The Coach 22:36, 5 Oct 2005 (BST)
- He's not actually dead dead of course... Keep reading after "dead" - For example, "You are Ed McBrains and you are dead. You have 60 Hit Points" etc etc.
Weird Stand-up after jump
First off, I noticed jumping out of buildings does not affect my character who has ankle grab (still costs 10AP), but otherwise it seems to work fine. However, I just yesterday lept to my death, but did not stand up, to save myself from being revivied. When I logged back in tonight and clicked stand up (for which it said would cost me 10AP, and, at the time, I had 50AP), I now have 49.9666666666667APs. I saved the screen image in case Kevan wants a look. By the way, that characters name is John Cammero. Any recommendations on how I should proceed (i.e., should I just play normally or wait the half hour to get the point back)? I don't want to be responsible for crashing UD!
- Play normally. Also check the article "Killed Again, Ankle Grab doesnt work" on the article page, and this thread :) That might help understanding what happened. BTW, please try and put future bug reports on the article page ^_^ not the discussion page. -pinkgothic 17:22, 8 Oct 2005 (BST)
Refresh repeats action
I grouped two reports into a new section. I'm not sure if it'd be better off in Known Bugs - opinions welcome. I hope no one minds the edit, either. I think it's one of those things useful to mention in the beginning of the article so people might be able to see if it's the same "bug" (Refresh repeats action) as the other two. -pinkgothic 01:22, 10 Oct 2005 (BST)
- I suppose it'd have its place in known bugs, even though technically it's not really a bug at all (it's simply the way browsers works). --Daranz-Talk 01:40, 10 Oct 2005 (BST)
- Hmm, yeah, it's a bit ambiguous on the 'bug' aspect... maybe it might be better to remove the 'bug reports' and just make a note of the 'Refresh repeats action' at the top of it, without the reports to illustrate the point? Hmm.
- By the way, you say "it's simply the way browsers work"... that's a bit deceiving (please excuse the bad choice of word, can't think of something better right now), because this can be treated as a bug, there is a way to get around it without inhibiting something like using all AP on searching: each action also sends a unique ID, and the script checks if said ID was the last one used (in which case it's not executed) or not. Of course that would be hideous and not worth the server power (IMO), so I still agree with you that it's not exactly a bug.
- And maybe I talk too much. e_e -pinkgothic 02:01, 10 Oct 2005 (BST)
- Although, I'd've thought that as a general rule, refreshing your browser window would be extremely uncommon in a game like this - you'd use the interface as a general rule. The only possible reason you'd refresh is if you hit a server overload message, and if you hit that then your original button press wouldn't have accessed the server anyway. -- Odd Starter 10:41, 10 Oct 2005 (BST)
- Actually no, it depends on your play style. I have a browser open at work and I refresh (F5) every now and then to see if any survivors have wandered within my reach..... (mwahahahaha. :)
- I don't ran into this problem because I always make sure I go to either Buy Skills or News and click on the Back to City link there. That would be a default map.cgi call with no actions specificed, hence a safe call. Once I've set this call up, I am safe and can hit Refresh as often as I want, without worry of eating up AP. -- Lynx7725 12:11, 19 Oct 2005 (BST)
- Ravenblack Vampires semi-counters this problem by offering a link "The City" at the top of the page, so you can refresh 'properly'. Of course, it's a bad example, since Ravenblack City also penalises players for too much refreshing ;) But maybe we could suggest this to Kevan? Especially since it's only one line of html? :) -pinkgothic 18:11, 19 Oct 2005 (BST)

Revification problem
I was under the impression that when a zombie was revived they now had to stand up again to be 'alive'. I just logged on to discover that since I had last been on, this had happened:
Since your last turn:
* SilentFox extracted a DNA sample from you. (10-17 15:21 GMT) * SilentFox revivified you with a NecroTech syringe. (10-17 15:21 GMT) * SilentFox said "I'm outta healthpacks, come inside before the Z's get ya, alot of us in there" (10-17 15:22 GMT) * A flare was fired 7 blocks to the east and 9 blocks to the north. (10-17 15:33 GMT) * atticusfunk attacked you for 2 damage. (10-17 15:34 GMT) * atticusfunk attacked you for 2 damage. (10-17 15:34 GMT) * A zombie attacked you for 3 damage. (10-17 21:58 GMT) * A zombie attacked you for 3 damage. (10-17 21:58 GMT) * A zombie attacked you for 3 damage. (10-17 21:58 GMT) * A zombie attacked you for 3 damage. (10-17 21:58 GMT) * A zombie attacked you for 3 damage. (10-17 21:59 GMT) * A zombie attacked you for 3 damage. (10-17 22:00 GMT) * A zombie attacked you for 3 damage. (10-17 22:02 GMT) * A zombie attacked you for 3 damage. (10-17 22:03 GMT) * A zombie attacked you for 3 damage. (10-17 22:17 GMT) * A flare was fired 3 blocks to the west and 3 blocks to the north. (10-17 22:30 GMT) * A flare was fired 7 blocks to the east and 5 blocks to the south. (10-18 00:38 GMT) * A flare was fired 9 blocks to the east and 6 blocks to the south. (10-18 01:46 GMT)
You have been killed.
How was I killed without the benefit of having the chance to stand up and get some cover?
- He used a Mark 1 syringe on you. --Raelin 05:14, 18 Oct 2005 (BST)
Dead after edit Profile
I got on today and my profile said I was revived and I went into a strongly barricaded building (Pegrum Place Police Dept.)and I said I need to be healed for my wounds and infection. The I went into my profile and edited it for about 3 minutes. I got out of the editing. Then I was outside the building with 60 Hp and I was a zombie agian. It said no one attacked me and the building was wide open!!
How did I get outside, full health, not attacked, and be a zomibe, and the doors go from strongly baricaded to wide open?!?
Profile: darkanime_cjc Class: Military Place: Pegrum Place Police Dept.
There are also like 40 people in the building there all going to be dead when the log in there is a large group of zombies outside and 7 are already inside!!
