Uhm... has anyone noticed what that is in the background??? i.e. where and when this was taken... Dunno about the rest of you, but I find it kinda tacky... --WanYao 09:44, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Hmm... I just noticed that but I can't help but feel that billowing smoke in the background is oddly appropriate for the zombie apocalypse. If anyone takes issue with the image photoshop gives us some options, a few minutes with the blur tool makes it an overcast day instead.

or we could just find a new image- Vantar 14:13, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

The actual shot of the club is awesome, we should keep it. And I do understand about the smoke, it *is* very apocalyptic and all... But... I dunno it might be overreaction, there are a lot of horrific things in this world, why pick on this? But... something about using a 911 image is, well, tacky and disrespectful IMO... And, my idea was to just photoshop it out, too... I just didnt wanna do it without talking to people first. --WanYao 14:57, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Oh you missed a bit of dark grey from a building, it looks weird... might as well "cloud over" the whole sky there... Actually, it shouldn't be totally overcast, cuz notice the scene is sunny. Sorry, I am photo-nerd ;) --WanYao 14:59, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Good work with whoever photoshopped that. Overreaction or no, I like this one, more so than the origonal. The origonal's pall of smoke rather drew attention away from the picture. This one, overcast day... seemingly abandoned sidewalk.... It looks realy creepy and atmospheric, way more so than the origonal and much more in genre. way better in my opinion--SeventythreeTalk 15:02, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
The sign says, "Now open for lunch 7 days a week", loooool... It's a great pic. --WanYao 15:10, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Where was I when this conversation took place? Huh. Not many people bring up the topic of my location images, so I suppose I'll chip in. A tip of the hat to Seventythree who noticed the fact that this photo is "not all that meets the eye". I Photoshopped it in several minor ways. First off, this really isn't Club Hagan, as I created the sign above the doorway using Photoshop layers. My usual approach towards signage is to aim for realism, and the fact that the club's name was partially obscured added to that effect. And yes, this photo is NOT from 9/11. I used the Blur tool and smoke paint to create the smoke effect. In later location photos I opted for splicing in real smoke columns for added realism, as Blur can look a bit fake. Actually the main reason I chose this photo was, as WanYao pointed out, because of the sign at the front detailing the "lunch service". I try to make locations not just for survivors to enjoy, but zombie players as well. If you guys are curious feel free to check out all the other locations I created, truth be told I created and added the location images for about, well, almost 100% of all the locations in Dulston, Rhodenbank, Rolt Heights, and Pescodside. I also created a few for Dunningwood, but by then I got burnt out. Creating 200+ location wikipages will do that to you. ;) --Mobius187 16:58, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Whoops. I just noticed that the location image above is a modified version of my original. As I mentioned before I usually incorporate columns of smoke via Photoshop, but it appears the one above was an edit of my original image by Vantar. Odd. --Mobius187 01:21, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
You're an awesome photoshop artist, Mobius! I will say that .... :) --WanYao 16:02, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. I still Photoshop today, but not so much for location wikipages (like I said 200+ really tires a guy out), rather I create group wikipage artwork and recruitment posters. If you want to you're free to take a look at those that I've completed here. The poster with the burning car took a while... that car alone was 2 different layers (wrecked car, flames/increased opacity for "see-through/burning" effect). --Mobius187 16:46, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Is it ok then to add little interesting bits of history and information to locations, for example what they where before the outbreak? I'd quite like to do that, and it would be kinda fun. I promise I'll run everything through a spellcheck first!--SeventythreeTalk 16:34, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Absolutely! It is encouraged, in fact. The only thing that personally irks me is when people make histories that in one way or another exclude many people from participating in and enjoying it... There are lots of ways that is done, and lots of (often even highly POV) ways that I have seen histories written that allow everyone to have fun, as well. Just something to think about, eh? --WanYao 16:39, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Yup. I also encourage other users to add to the histories of every location wikipage, especially pre-outbreak. Seventythree, look around Rolt Heights and I'm sure you can easily find locations I've created that just have very basic descriptions (by then I was running out of steam). Dulston has the fewest bare minimums as I started with it first. Pescodside should have some that need beefing up and personally I would appreciate the effort. You're also free to add to those that I've worked on, because to be fair, I edit other people's location descriptions so they should be allowed to edit mine as well. BTW, Seventythree, have you read the location description for the old sugar mill in Pescodside...? That was one of my favorites. ;) --Mobius187 16:46, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Cool! I'll be sure to check it out. I've just written one for the Junkyard at 99 12. Is it the right sort of thing?--SeventythreeTalk 16:58, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
