An idea

I don't know how active or large you guys are... or what your activities are... But I have an idea for slightly restructuring the IWW and giving it a new in-game focus... Dedicate the IWW to "toolboxing"... This is totally a rip-off if Sweir's MCWU (check them out), but it adds a few elements the MCWU lacks. Wobblies would also drop gennies as part of their mandate -- supporting general industrialisation and the reduction of needless toil. Secondly, the Wobblies would do this job with a clearly revolutionary socialist agenda. This would give the group a very clear direction for role-playing as well as actual in-game activities... I see the IWW dedicating themsevles to "developing the superstructure" of Malton, but refraining from combat -- except of course in revolutionary self-defense :)

Sure, this a little different than the "real world" IWW, but this is a game, and it IMO shouldn't just try to mimick the real world, but reflect it back... And, considering the unique transitional state that Malton embodies, an evolution of revolutionary praxis to meet the specific material conditions of the place and the moment seems in order....

And, it would help the survivor cause immensely (it's the direction survivor organisation has to take these days)... And I think it'd be a great platform for player recruitment, because it does have a focus. And it allows (yeah I hate the word too, so sue me...) excellent synergy with more combat oriented allies like the Urban Guerrillas...

Give it a thought... and let me know what you think, either way... If you like it, I might find or make an alt for such a version of the IWW.

Socialist Project

What happened to this? I have a couple of characters at UD, at I would have at least one of them join the socialists if all the socialist groups either merged or at least united into a firm alliance/coalition/network. Also, would you be interested in organizing a counter to this White Pride Rally known as Operation White Storm? Whoever wrote the above line is ignorant, both of the realities of the IWW MGMG, and of the cuteness of kitties. Capitalism

The Class Struggle is Undermined by Exclusion of Zombies

The GMB's exclusion of the undead is not only against the egalitarian spirit of the IWW, but is also counterproductive. On what grounds does the GMB exclude our fellow workers who fight for their class from beyond the grave?
