Archive of Abandoned Barricade Plan

This is the Optimal Defense Plan for Millen Hills and it is Millen Hills specific. The Barricades follow Uniform Barricading Policy where resource buildings are only barricaded to very strongly and there there is at least one very strongly barricaded building for any 9 block area of the suburb.

No building will be less than very strongly barricaded, and extremely heavily barricaded buildings will be distributed to provide optimal protection.

The survivor group The Abandoned maintain the barricades for all buildings in MIllen Hills, working from its vast expertise as barricade maintainers from their work in Yagoton . All questions, comments, and complaints should be directed to their discussion pages. This map was last revised by The Abandoned on 3-7-06

Key
Unenterable Buildings
Brown Phone Mast (Smith Towers)
Yellow Other Unenterable Buildings
Enterable Buildings
Pink Hospitals
Purple NecroTech Buildings
Light Blue Police Departments
Bright Green Other Enterable Buildings
No Barricading
Dark Blue Revive points

This map shows the current Optimum Defense Plan. The bright yellow and orange buildings should barricaded to Extremely Heavily, whilst the other buildings are designated entrances to be barricaded to Very Strongly. Dark blue and black denotes empty space - a road, monument, park, etc.

No survivors with free running should sleep in Very Strongly barricaded buildings. These buildings are for survivors without free running, and for people to get supplies. This will prevent a buildup of people, which would attract zombies.

Abandoned

The Abandoned, the survivor group in charge of the defense of the neighboring suburb of Yagoton, would like to make it known that it has moved into the western half of Millen Hills. While at present this move is only regarded as a prolonged strike and cleansing mission, voting will occur later on to see if Millen Hills can be added as an offical protectorate of the Abandoned. As it stands now, we hope to promote and officiate an offical Barricade Policy, establish and maintain a revivication point (with revivication services being provided by the group the Tanith First and Only at the start) and to work in close conjuction with the native survivor groups like the MFD and Group 37 of the PFM in keeping Millen Hills free of zombies and PK'er groups. Natives of Millen Hills are welcomed and encouraged to join the Abandoned. They can visit our temporary forums at: http://blurredbrain.info/temp/index.php

Barricade Policy Talk (old)

I strongly disagree with the non-resource building entry point locations.

  • There are some entries just past the Yagoton border, so (50,13) is obsolete, being just a single block away from one of them.
  • (53,16) is just a block away from two resource building entry points.

I would propose placing entry points in the following locations instead:

  • (51,12)
  • (51,16)
  • (57,17)
  • (58,19) and (59,17) are not accessible from directly inside the suburb and it would be logical to make them enterable. This is, however, open to discussion.
  • Phone Mast location should be unenterable (EH-barricaded), same as per Yagoton ODP. There are already 3 other entry points in its immediate vicinity.

These changes allow safehouse entry within 3 AP or less from 98% of the suburb.

  • EDIT - optionally, (51,16) can be scrapped for two entry points, in (51,14) and (51,18), respectively. This gives 100% coverage for the 3 AP safehouse access. --The Fifth Horseman 10:04, 9 March 2006 (GMT)

Fifth, realise that we don't want people to have to check neighbouring suburbs to find an entry (Nobody does that anyway). Every sub is an individual unit. --Doubler 16:282, 8 March 2006 (GMT)
(51,12) which I suggested is just one block away from the current entry location. At the same time, it allows access from a slightly larger area then (50,11). Moving (53,16) to (51,16) closes the gaps left by moving (50,11), and at the same time a few others that were originally in Phubar's design. --The Fifth Horseman 10:04, 9 March 2006 (GMT)

The Jeffrey Building

The Jeffrey Building is a designated indoor rot-revive clinic manned by Rotter's Relief - I move to have this reflected on the plan, with the barricades moved to "none", from "VSB+2". If no one opposes I'll make the change in a few days. Strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others 21:40, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

I think it was an error from before the plan was upgraded. A VSB marked RP? Almost certainly supposed to be a WO RRP. Have changed (you may also want to update the building's actual page in regards to its cade levels though) -- User:The Rooster RoosterDragon User talk:The Rooster 16:28, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
