Does anyone know the approximate probability of finding a first aid kit in a drugstore (assuming you have the shopping skill), compared to the probability of finding one in a hospital? --Uborkapete 16:58, 24 Sep 2005 (BST)

I'm not sure, but I think other people have said that there's a set chance to find an item (nonspecific) in a given building type, and then which item specifically is determined randomly from the pool of items available in that building type.

Yes, searching the same building more than once offers no penalties to your chances of finding something. In fact, it's mostly neccesary to search repeatedly to restock on consumable items (ammo, FAKs, etc.). --Raelin 22:26, 2 Oct 2005 (BST)

Unaware of how find boxes dropped by helicopters I tried to search the street. Rather than find one of the boxes I found an oddity. A pistol clip. -Outside- a PD there was a single pistol clip. This brings up the questions: Is this a bug? How often do these things occur if often does it effectively make zombie ransacking useless?

This could be big!
