Basic Info:

  • A monument is a city block containing a statue or similar piece of public art, without a building in it. It is functionally equivalent to a street, except that players with the Tagging skill can gain 2 XP for writing graffiti on a monument.
  • This is, game-play wise, an empty block, and cannot be barricaded.
  • After the July 3, 2009 update, some monuments became tall and can be seen from a distance with binoculars

Description

Humans and zombies alike will see the following (permanent) description when standing in front of the monument:

"You are at the Balle Monument, a granite statue of a man with a book surrounded by grass."

The Balle Monument is one of three monuments in the suburb of Miltown.

The Balle Monument is dedicated to the memory of Josephine Balle who died in the hospital South of this monument.

She lead her life campaigning to find new space for the overcrowded cemeteries. Her life was cut short when she contracted tuberculosis. The hospital below was named after her.

Notes

  • Zag the Great's favourite place to stand, relax and get jabbed with needles which do nothing. NOTHING!
  • It was here that the kind reception from the locals made The Coalition decide to stay in Miltown
