The Dead/March of the Dead
After a long period of inertia, The Dead rose as February 2008 ended, in an attempt to slaughter every last survivor in Malton. Quickly rising to power - within a week it had become the largest horde ever seen - the horde began to cut a swath of blood through Malton. Many have begun referring to this period as the March of the Dead.
The March drew to a close sometime after syringe search rates were revamped to vastly favor survivors, however The Dead remain active on a smaller scale. You can't fight deus ex machina.

6 March
- Tompson Mall is the victim of a vicious surprise attack. It is breached within minutes.
- Both Pole Mall and Marven Mall fall, marking the first time in history that a single group captured 3 malls in one day.
10 March
- Zombies are 59% of the living population of Urban Dead, a tie for the highest recorded total.
- Buckley Mall comes under siege. It falls in under a day.
- New record for most red suburbs: 64
11 March
- 1:00 AM GMT: First recorded instance of 60% zombie population in Urban Dead.
- New record for most red suburbs: 65 (though it had risen as high as 67 during the day)
- New record for least green suburbs: 6
- New record for highest zombies by percentage: 61%
12 March
- New record for least green suburbs: 4
- New record for highest zombies by percentage: 64%
17 March
- Ackland Mall and Joachim Mall are attacked, they fall in under a day.
18 March
- Lumber Mall is crushed.
- New record for highest zombies by percentage: 66%
19 March
- With help from Extinction, Stickling Mall gets wrecked.
21 March
- New record for highest zombies by percentage: 67%
22 March
- Giddings Mall claimed as new playground.
23 March
- New record for highest zombies by percentage: 68%
- Caiger Mall devastated.
24 March
- New record for highest zombies by percentage: 69%
