No Rules?

The Discordian Society has no definition. Discordianism recognizes that chaos and disharmony are valid aspects of reality in the same manner that other religions venerate harmony and order. Order brings stability. Chaos is the seed of growth without which Order causes stagnation. Order and Chaos are necessary for spiritual, mental and physical advancement. The Sacred Chao symbolizes this eternal mystery.

The Greek goddess Eris (goddess of discord) is the matron deity of Discordianism. Her symbol is the Golden Apple of Discord, the device which necessitated the Judgement of Paris and ultimately led to the Trojan War.

The Malton Sect

Prevailing conditions in Malton can be viewed as a microcosm of universal reality. Human survivors attempt to maintain the influence of, and thus represent, Order whilst the ravening undead are effectively forces of entropy and could be said to be an aspect of Chaos. However the homogenous zombie existence, when viewed from the POV of the individual, can be seen to be merely another aspect of Order, albeit cunningly disguised. The Malton Sect provides a counterpoint to these two extremes and allows neither to prevail.
