The Loder Museum
Description
The Loder Museum, a small metal-and-glass building, its windows now missing or broken, is an Impressionist Sculpture Museum in central Chudleyton. It is close to the Hawtrey Museum and Apsey Library.
History
Built as part of several interest groups wanting to bring crowds to the city, which would both provide the public with a new attraction but also get more tourists. The building was designed and built in January 2003 and only got to open before the Malton Incedent occurred which quickly turned the building's beautiful facade into a horrorhouse with blood, guts and glass lying on the pavement at the front doors.
As an exhibition was about to be launched most staff was working along with several security personnel to unbox and place items, the fight for a chance to live only became a small one. As the zombies rushed the facade and charged through the ground level windows the security personnel quickly realised that this was no accident and that these were not robbers - they came to kill them. After the first couple of guards were attacked, beaten and eaten alive they opened fire upon the small horde trying to get at them and as the museum staff relocated to the basement to barricade themselves but as there was no exit the people inside was eventually forced outside where they would learn to fight for their survival - unless they'd want to fight for something to eat, forever.
The Loder Museum is the first museum of Malton to house several exhibits of great interest. As part of an experiment the lobby was to be used for contemporary and pop-art which would lure in younger crowds, possibly getting them hooked on other forms of art. The museum, by doing this, was also meant to create a wider bridge between the modern art forms to possibly inspire new artist.
