The Massacre at Mudford Plaza
The Massacre at Mudford Plaza P.D. is a relatively unknown event that occurred during the months of June and July in 2005. A group of survivors that had formed an alliance were decimated in an event that would later compel one member to found The Vanguard.
After surviving a number of weeks inside the police department, a certain member's computer was broken, causing an absence of nearly a month. During that time, presumably at least 5 days after his dissapearance, the department was attacked in one of the worst zombie increases of its time. When this person returned he found the building with "its doors flung wide open" and containing many dead bodies and a large number of zombies that he had never encountered prior to that point. Also sprayed on the wall were the words: "It was all a pack of lies" possibly denoting that the absence of this one individual was a ruse and was somehow a catalyst that led to the massacre. The other survivors that had not died had fled. And for the young founder of The Vanguard the graffiti simply served to mock his guilt over the fact that he had not been present.
The Vanguardsman left Mudford Plaza for at least a month before returning to find it once again full of survivors, and the evidence of what he found there prior to that time long since cleared away. This place is considered extremely important by The Vanguard and is used as a place to restock ammunition as necessary. The Vanguard maintain a watchful eye on the zombies around this area, and are quick to warn it occupants of any danger.
