The Pub Crawlers
Who are the Pub Crawlers?
The Pub Crawlers are a group of UD players, mostly older ones, who became friends on the Feral Undead forum. We initially got together on the "Olde Fuckers" sub-board there, but eventually chose to form our own distinct, smaller group and start our own forum. Pub Crawlers are characterized by the following traits:
- We're mostly older - 30-ish and up. We have no clue about yoof culture today, and are more likely to know about Universal classic monster trivia than about who the current hot stars are.
- We're polite, which is not to say that we don't razz each other constantly, but we're all mature enough to be past the age of thinking insulting strangers on the internet is cool.
- We all actually have jobs and lives, so we're not immersed in UD round-the-clock. Don't expect us to know the latest hot gossip from Brainstock.
- Our forum is more social than game-focused. We have book and movie reviews, chatter, tech talk, geek stuff, and lots of chatter about Godzilla and sexy asian girls. Basically, we're friendly old nerds who all grew up watching Godzilla movies and "Frankenstein meets the Wolf Man" on Friday night Shock Theater in the 60's and 70's. We also sometimes have ongoing, Crawler-created web comics for entertainment (at least when Twitch has the time), and are contemplating an in-forum papers & pencils RPG.
- We've all been playing UD long enough to have gotten bored with the trenchy game, the zombie game, and the PK game, and these days we just wander the city, gathering in hot spots and watching the fun.
Are you a human group or a zombie group?
Yes. We do have a love of carnage, so we are prone to go zombie if there's some good munching going on nearby, but it's quite difficult to chat and enjoy a good beer as a zombie, so we switch back and forth. Whether others get eaten in the process of all this mostly depends on whether we think they're friendly and fun, or whether they're obnoxious. If your name is "Badass Trenchcoat", you're probably going to get eaten...

Please leave us a note on our Talk page. Our membership requirements are - Don't be an asshole. Be mellow. Have a quirky sense of humor. Be capable of writing full paragraphs in actual English, and never, EVER use netspeak. Understand the difference between "there", "their", and "they're", and "your" and "you're", and be able to choose the correct one when needed. Have a working knowledge of horror movies that goes back past 1994. Be Godzilla friendly! Know who Tom Servo is, and why he's cool. It helps if you spent youthful nights staying up to watch things like "Phantasm" on the late night horror show, usually hosted by someone like Elvira.
