The Regimental Corps System: A Combined Arms Team
In-game communication makes even the simplest of group tasks a feat in coordination. In order to be effective in battle, The Regiment needs more than willing guns--a logistical tail must maintain a fluid communication network so that Regimentals are able to send reports to each other and receive orders from the Regiment HQ.
In order to ensure that all aspects of logistical and combat requirements are fulfilled for every mission, the Regiment combines several Regimental Corps with their own specialized mission into a cohesive combined-arms team.
Regimental Rifle Corps
The Regimental Rifle Corps represents the bulk of the Regiment's fighting strength. Regimental riflemen specialize in combat, and fight as one of four men in a fire team.
Fire Teams
The fire team operates as the Regiment's lowest unit of control, taking part in a larger operation as a subordinate formation or operating independently.
Regimental Signal Corps
The Regimental Signal Corps is responsible for maintaining the cellular and radio communication networks which the Regiment needs to fight. Members of the Regimental Signal Corps are the logistical experts who keep the whole system running.
Radio Transmitter Operator (RTO)
An RTO's duty is to establish, maintain and enhance the Regiment's radio network. To that end, the RTO is tasked with:
- Deploying the complete radio transmitter kit during operations.
- Maintaining/defending the regimental HQ during operations.
- Serving as a communication node between the various fire teams.
Regimental Forward Reconnaissance Corps
The Regimental Forward Reconnaissance Corps is the eye of the Regiment. Adept scouts, the Recce Corps focuses its energy in movement and stealth, even infiltrating Red/Gray suburbs to complete their mission. Their task is two-folds:
- The Recce Corps screens the main force before an operation begins, reconnoitring hostile suburbs and marking the initial staging areas. They provide the needed intelligence so that the Regiment HQ can formulate an operation plan.
- Once the Regiment arrives and begins operation, the Recce Corps serves as a reserve/reaction force, to be deployed by the REGHQ as needed.
The Recce Corps operates in 2-men Forward Reconnaissance Sections.
