Ingame
You are in Black River. The water is fast and deep. The current pulls you along.
- You begin to suffocate. The only defence to this is air, but air is far away, ever so lengthening as the depths pull you deeper to their absolute. Where the deeper will go no deeper, and the black, no blacker. But not so easy as to reach the bottom, where you may push off with the last strength of your humbled legs.
Your lungs squeeze and would scream if the mouth at the end of its reach wished to open. You resist it. Your eyes cry open to the lids that hold it in darkness and against the greater blackness. You resist it.
Something holds you back from the fall to depths. It is not the buoyancy of the water, for Black River seems to be curiously lacking in that property. You are pushed up, it feels like a hand against your back, but you know this cannot be true, not in the most realistic, or earth-bound of sense. Whatever force it is, it is not of this world.
You could be delirious. You have been underwater for longer than anyone should be if they asked to keep their mind and body in the same way before they plunged. You have a chance now, best to take it. You will take it.
Possible actions:
- Swim back to the surface
Inventory:
- You carry a knife, a journal and a bloodied radio. You have a pistol (4) and three spare magazines inside your vest pouches. You are wearing a tactical vest, blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a pair of shoes.
