A Russian from birth, this man served for Stalin on the front lines in his teens during the events of the second great war. He was both a medic and a part of the infantry. One night, Kostya snuck into the enemy base and slaughtered dozens in their sleep. This act of heroism earned him an award for brilliance. This act also took the attention of the KGB and he offer to become an agent. He accepted and became the youngest agent in Russian history. He was ensigned to travel to America and end the life of a traitor to the country. Upon arrivial in Monroeville, Shura began his search for the swine he had come to kill. He discovered that he had been working in a lab working on the preservation of organs. Shura posed as a researcher and snuck into the lab. However, while trailing his prey, he had accidentally found himself trapped in a giant freezer and was sprayed in liquid nitrogen.
Several years later, Shura awoke. The frozen corpses around him had already thawed out completely and the room was in darkness. A power cut to the lab had caused his freedom. Remarkably, he had not aged at all and his appearance remained unchanged. By now the war had ended and his target had moved on. But he had found himself locked inside the city as quarantine had been implemented. With no way to escape, nor anyway to contact home, he was stuck in Monroeville.
Kostya Shura survived the first Monroeville quarantine. He owes this privilege to the group he was rescued by. He made a pact with them, To Death Do Us Part. At first he was living in fear, checking every few minutes if he was still alive, if there was any of the undead outside, if his ammo was any use. But together, they managed to stick together and thrive. However, survival did not come to everyone. Many of the group he was parted with due to the undead, but still, he survives and lives on.
