While performing supply drops as part of the US Army, his CH-47 Chinook Helicopter experienced technical problems and was forced to land inside the quarantined zone of the Malton city limits. Many of the crew were seriously injured and taken by a small horde of undead. He is still wearing his uniform, fatigues in desert camo, with his Chesapeake Hookers patch still displayed. As he searched the city for a safe place to stay he came upon a group calling themselves the Black Berets. Since he already had a black beret, he felt this was a sign and has since joined the group. He is currently serving in Houldenbank.
