Malton Police Department Personnel File
Early Life
Elliot Lake is a native of Malton, specifically in the suburb of Penny Heights. Ever since he was young Elliot wanted to join the Malton Police Department and just prior to the outbreak he enrolled in the Police Academy. While on a training exercise in his home suburb the quarantine was slammed down and his dreams seemed dashed until he received word from a fellow officer that the department was being reconstituted for handling the crisis.
Academy Training
After receiving his orders Elliot reported to the Kristi of the Dead Campus for training. He worked with diligence and distinction and recently passed the Academy Exam with flying colors and has graduated from the Academy.
Southeast Division District 3
Assignment
Upon graduation and a brief furlough Constable Lake was assigned to the Southeast Division District 3 owing to the utter lack of MPD personnel in the district and the need for effective law enforcement. While initially surprised considering his desire to remain in the thick of it in Roftwood, Lake discovered his home suburb was in the area as well as the utter lack of personnel was an opportunity to distinguish himself in the service of the people of Malton.
Penny Heights
After moving through Vinetown to reach his home, Constable Lake got to work on conducting thorough reconnaissance of Penny Heights. While initial reports suggested it might be the most dangerous suburb in his district, after careful investigation Constable Lake concluded the suburb was much safer than previously indicated. After reporting this Constable Lake stated he would head north to Houldenbank after doing some last checks in Penny Heights as Houldenbank appeared to be in more danger.
Dentonside
Penny Heights and Houldenbank both being secure Constable Lake then headed north again to the reported hotspot of Dentonside. After conducting reconaissance Lake concluded this would be one of the more dangerous burbs in SE-3. As such Lake worked to keep Maney Lane PD clear with mixed results and limited success as well as to pick up other resource buildings in eastern Dentonside but found his supply sources in the west cut. As such was forced into Pegton for supplies and determined he would work to clear out Pegton to make Dentonside easier to take care of.
Vinetown
After considerable wait time due to the damage caused by the Dead's rampage to revive queues, Constable Lake was revived and back into service and currently preparing to leave from his current location to work on rebuilding Vinetown following the aftermath of the Dead. These rebuilding efforts continued until the Dead arrived and tore Vinetown to pieces, forcing Constable Lake to seek revival in Fryerbank.
Penny Heights
Following revival and acquiring supplies Constable Lake as per orders from Superintendent Thor Ellis headed north to Lumber Mall to make ready to stand with the rest of the SE Division against the Dead. There he made proposals for command to consider a different approach to what was intended of making a glorious stand in a siege that would, ultimately, prove fruitless and not likely hold up the Dead for as long as a more mobile approach would. After some discussion, argument, and persuasion Superintendent Ellis for the SE Division approved his proposed approach stating:
hmm. I like your idea Elliot_Lake. I'll post in the threds and tell them to come on here and put out any ideas they may have. For now the few of us who are at the mall can start to move out in war partys. Also on another note we got problems the zeds have moved into penny heights. I've seen a good bit of ruined builds with up to 5 zeds inside them. If this becomes too bad we may have to leave.
Shortly after he immediately got in contact with the rest of his crew in SE-3 seeking to determine who of them, as none were beyond beginning ranks, should be in command of the crew for the duration of the operation. After attempting to contact the rest of his crew with little success Constable Lake spoke with Constable Paul Powers and EMT Dilmanic about forming up into a Strike Team in Penny Heights and the Southeast Division to oppose the Dead in a coordinated fashion. They agreed and asked Constable Lake, as he made the offer, to take command of the team. They formed up into SE Division Strike Team 1 and began operations immediately.
SE Division Strike Team 1
Constable Lake having been given command began operations immediately with recon and minor reclamation operations in Penny Heights. Currently the team is waiting for further information before moving out. Currently recon is now underway for extended ops into Dentonside, a suburb that has resisted reclamation for some time.
Promotion
Constable Lake was recently promoted to the rank of Chief Inspector SE-3 District and will likely leverage this rank to make the Dentonside operation more doable.
Retirement
Due to disagreements and feelings of being unable to effect change due to internal DEM politics, Chief Inspector Lake handed over his gun and badge to Superintendant Thor Ellis at the end of May 2008.
Return to Duty
With the crisis of winter 2008 reaching a head Elliot immediately contacted his old SU informing him of his intent to come out of retirement to aid the city in its time of need for the duration. After some confusion Elliot was re-assigned to his old district with his old rank looking to turn the situation around.
