Civilian (Consumer). My UrbanDead Profile.
Current Whereabouts
I'm still shopping in all the best stores at Dowdney Mall, (Santlerville). It's getting boring having the power on, constantly! This is beginning to feel like the monotony of my former life as a housewife!
The Mall is STILL safe. No zombies anywhere in or outside (or nearby enough to go to town in my best shoes with a matching shotgun).
Known Affiliations
None to date, although I've HAVE been pulling my own weight at the mall. Who'd have thought that I'd be out on the streets, helping the wounded and even shooting firearms at those poor unfortunates who get infected!)
I've got a mobile phone, but none of my friends from before the infection are answering...
- Contact List suppressed for now.
Rikki's Diary
June 2006
18th June: Boring. There hasn't been a zombie attack in days. I have been on long excursion runs, laiden with weapons, and have got an odd zombie at times. I constantly meet survivors who have been dead, but saved by these necrotech-guys. It must be horrible, luckily I have never had a close call with a zed, ever. I guess, I would never want to 'come back' if I ever get killed by one of those things...
11th June: It's been weeks here at the mall. It's been a ball! I have NEVER felt so in control in my whole life. The past is gone, only here and now remains. I have learned every skill in the book. These people at Giddings treat me like the way I want to be treated and I finally feel I have a purpose.
4th June: After finding the most glorious pair of boots in Chantelles', I decided to take a long trip south to celebrate, and just to have a look about. There wasn't much happening until I got a few blocks of the Self Hotel [76, 34]. There, zombies were in small numbers. Scout parties from Giddings? The Self Hotel [76, 34] seems well-run. I doubt, with all this radio overflood, there will be a need for its Mobile Phone Mast anymore. I then downed two zombies as I crossed the Scadding Building [73, 36] and made the return to Dowdney Mall where I was able to get some rest. I am VERY pleased with my new boots!
May 2006
29th May: Went out again today only to find 6 survivors sleeping in the streets. I understand that most zeds in the city are currently outside Giddings Mall but that's no excuse to forget caution. Just this afternoon I found Dan Ileto being licked by a near-dead zombie. A couple of shotgun blasts and a bit of first aid rectified the problem, but the poor scientist shouldn't have got himself into such a predicament. Listen to me, hahaha, a few weeks ago I was a naive housewife who wouldn't know one end of a gun from the other. Now I'm complaining about people who can't look after themselves in a zombie apocalypse. I guess you never quite know where you'll end up or how you'll react to a change in lifestyle. But truth be told, I've never felt more in control in my life.
28th May: This whole zombie things is getting to me. I went out to the Dewes Building today on my morning run to find a poor gentleman crashed out on the footpath. I had to shoot two zombies with my shotgun. I managed to kill the first one, but the second just kept coming. I threw a couple of medkits to the survivor and was forced to head back inside. I don't think he'll make it, but I had to try. I've been thinking... I might spend a couple more days gathering up supplies and then head off somewhere isolated. Then again, I only saw 2 zeds outside, so that makes this place pretty safe. I've heard that Giddings Mall to the south is under siege by over 200 undead. Thats only twelve or so blocks away, so if things go wrong for the survivors down there, the horde might be paying us a visit.
24th May: Took another trip around the perimeter (look! I'm using army words already!). Didn't see much in the way of Zombies. Looks like they've all cleared out. I'm armed to the brim now, and I have learned how to use them well. Looks like I might have a few days to gather up First Aid kits. I have been thinking about heading to the barricade to the east. It might be safer there. Still, there's lots of opportunity whilst it's so quiet.
18th May: I've found a load of firearms and ammo. I have been heading out each day into the streets and practicing with my shooting. Got a few of them but my aim still needs a lot of work.
10th May: I have done two runs around the area surrounding the mall. There's loads of opportunity for on-the-job training in first aid. I've decided that I'd better start getting useful or these Mall Dwellers might think I'm overstaying my welcome.
7th May: I Just got to Dowdney Mall, after weeks of walking, hiding and sleeping. I found a new journal in the Mall's bookshop and have decided to chronical my movements in case my husband or kids ever find this. I'm no soldier. I don't know how to use a gun, or an axe for that matter. Looks like I'm going to have to help the only way I can; Give help to the wounded. Going to spend the rest of today searching for first-aid kits. Maybe head out tomorrow?
April 2006
25th April 2006: Well, where to start? I live..lived in Chancelwood to the north. That was before all the trouble with the dead walking the streets began. When It all started, I had just got the kids of to school and was about to head of to Dowdney Mall to do a little shopping. Halfway there I got attacked by a horde of those things. I barely managed to escape, thanks to a friendly cop. Have given up hope on all my family as my husband's building the Dobin Building [65, 1] and the Tame Way School [61, 4] are abandoned. Decided to make my way south to the Mall at Giddings.
