Colonel Lamerton is Captain in the Imperial Guard, a sub-group of the Imperium.
Personal
History
A lesser noble of his home planet and a devout servant of the God-Emperor. After disgraces of his family by [Classified Information by order of Inquisition] The Uncle was later found guilty of Heresy (Art 6741/09a) and Harbouring Psykers and /or Witches (Art 6782/03a) and burnt at the stake. The shame of his uncle’s actions destroyed then reputation of the Family. Lands where ceased and redistributed among the other noble families. After months of questioning from Inquisitor task forces, the rest of the family where pardoned from the Uncles actions. When Lamerton joined the Imperial Guard to help restore his Family’s pride, he was forced to join as a lowly trooper instead of a junior officer as his class standing dictated.
Malton Operation
When first dropped into Hive Malton as a trooper he was separated from the rest of his unit, however he was ably to quickly find the nearest Imperial forces and joined the Cadian 8th under the leadership of MkoII. After a fearsome career fighting in the streets of Malton, he was given command of all Imperial Guard forces in this conflict after the apparant death of MkoII. Following in MkoII's foot steps Colonel Lamerton decided to continue Operation Scorched Earth. However after several months in command MkoII returned alive and well. At that point Lamerton stood down as Commander of the Imperial Guard and took the Rank of Captain with MkoII back as Colonel.
