Some would say I am a mad man. Some wouldn't call me a man. At the tender age of ten, I had, what the Doctors told me, was a "Severe mental breakdown.". I call it my awakening. After this breakdown, I hunted down a holy man, and bound him inside his confesional. With a bound mouth, and an entire night in a world that has long turned it's back on it's people, I tortured him to death. For hours his screams echoed through the church, and only the following morning when the holy man's young disciple came looking around, did he find me curled up on one of the pew, covered in blood. At first he was confused, he asked if I was alright. I scratched out one of his eyes. He managed to knock me out, and call the police.
For six years, I was imprisoned into an asylum for the criminally insane.
Then the Malton incident began. Troops were sent in daily. But soon, the state began running out of troops, and started training criminal, and even then, they were running out of criminals. So they turned to the crazies.
We were told that is we helped, we would get "...top of the line medical care.", we knew we were being set up, such is the bond of insane people. But we chose a chance at freedom, over incarceration.
And so off I went.
