I started playing in 2006 with a committed group of clan mates from another online, low-tech game, Kingdom of Loathing.
Clan members from Iocaine Powder used IRC chat channels and attack strategies honed in their KoL play to quickly create havoc in SW Malton. Most though, eventually got tired of the reactionary breathers in Arkham who couldn't comprehend how we were just so good at efficiently killing them all the time and they moved on to other online games.
I stayed.
