A precocious student at the prestigious St Lucy's School for Girls in Buckinghamshire, Great Britain, the delightful Popsy was on a school exchange visit to America when the Zombie hordes attacked. When the shambling corpses broke into her class one day at her host school in Pegton, Popsy hid in the photocopier room while her classmates were slaughtered. When all seemed quiet, she hitched up her tartan school uniform skirt a little higher and made her way to her locker. From within she withdrew the parting gift her daddy had bestowed upon her when she left to come to the evil shores of the USA.
The huge lump of metal felt too big for her hands. A Webley .455 is no gun for a teenage girl and this one had last been used by her grandad to bludgeon Prussian heads in a trench raid near Ypres. But it was all she had.
At first Popsy wasn't much good with the gun. But as she grew more experienced, more bullets struck home. Her talents for shopping and a knack for finding safe hiding spots meant that week after week, Popsy survived.
Popsy's defining moment came when one night she collapsed from exhaustion just inside the door of Pitman Mansion, Quarlesbank. She awoke a few hours later to find the mansion's evil zombie Lord ravishing her voluptuous body. Wounded and infected by Lord Pitman's social diseases, Popsy stumbled from room to room, trying to find a cupboard to hide in. It was in Pitman's study that she made an awful discovery.
Papers hidden inside a photo frame showed that Lord Pitman himself was the cause of the Zombie outbreak. He and an inner circle of naughty friends (including Baron von Evil and Dreadamp) had been frequenting the nearby occult bondage club named Beauchamp. It was there between themselves that they hatched an insidious plot.
As a major shareholder and Director of Necrotech, Pitman knew of the advancing technologies for revivifying the dead. He believed that semi-intelligent corpses would make the perfect candidates for sexual slavery. An endless supply of non-complaining, compliant meat for the perverted desires of he and his friends. Accordingly, Pitman arranged for some of the Necrotech experimental technologies to be "accidentally" released into the wider community.
On discovering this, Popsy fled the mansion. She vowed to destroy Lord Pitman. Every day if need be.
Popsy has since gotten pretty good at laying Lord Pitman to rest on a daily basis. She's also become something of a minor celebrity in Quarlesbank. One nasty aspect of this is all the approaches she gets from desperate males. But Popsy isn't that interested in men. If you get her drift.
But Popsy's no pushover. In early January ugly rumours began to surface that Popsy was actually aiding and abetting Lord Pitman. The culmination of this was Popsy being threatened by other survivors in St Alberic's church, mainly Leon Burdy of the Pitman Pitbulls.
Popsy stood her ground. Whilst Leon stroked his own pistol, Popsy didn't draw hers. She didn't flee. She stared Leon down and explained to him the way of the world.
Later that night, Popsy actually saved her accusers, gunning down Lord Pitman's friend, Baron von Evil, who had broken into the church and began to feast on the sleeping Pitbulls.
Popsy continues to work alone in the north of Quarlesbank and welcomes the company of other attractive female survivors.
