Greetings!!

I am an on-again off-again survivor playing primarily out of Buttonville. Samitefan1 spawned there, and he made it his home ever since. Urban Dead closed before he could go on his grand tour of Malton. Especially sad is his missing out on visiting 2 of the 5 Cathedrals, as well as all of the Forts. In another life he would have collected a staff shirt from every mall as well. A reminder to all of us to utilize what time we have when we have it, and to never allow complacency to stop us from going out and doing what we want to do.

Time has a way of working to erase the small, good, scrappy things of the world, and replace them with mass-produced dross. Urban Dead, for almost 20 years, stood as a shining example of how a simple framework can lead to a tremendous amount of goodwill, creativity and community among wildly disparate groups of people. Long may it stand as a testament to the ingenuity and camaraderie of those who participated in and played this small corner of the Internet. --Samitefan1 (talk) 03:18, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
