However despite this, he should only be approached with extreme caution and possibly backup. Zohtun's birth name is somewhat of a closely guarded secret of his. From what he has admitted to over the years in Malton, he lived in a very divided family, every child forced to compete with the others for any form of affection. This lack of sibling affection affected all members of his family negatively, leading to all of them following very different life paths. Zohtun's known life began in Malton itself. He was living in the city when the quarantine kicked in, trapping him in the city. While at first he was shocked, Zohtun soon realised that there was nothing at all to stop him from giving in to his darker emotions. Within days, Zohtun had gone rogue, killing survivors and undead without any regard for why or how. He quickly drew the attention of the Rummers, who recruited him temporarily before their disbanding. During his time with them, Zohtun continued to try to find a purpose in this new Malton, but was unable to find any meaning beyond destruction. After an extended period in which Zohtun wondered the city aimlessly, keeping a low profile as he continued his search for a purpose in life, he began to salvage old books from the ruined city, reading anything legible. This scavenging lead to his discovery of a half dozen pages of notes left behind by an antisocial psychopath. Fascinated by the ideals the man had left behind, Zohtun journeyed to meet with him, the older man introducing him to the Philosophe Knights, where the younger man could finally channel his energies into something far more productive than random acts of violence. The group assigned him a new identity, that of ZL, a new beginning for a man who turned away from the edge of insanity to join the ranks of the enlightened.
