Removal of group from suburb

Hi. I noticed your recent comments on the Spicer Hills suburb page. Might I suggest you check your group's talk page before jumping to conclusions about why your group was removed? A wiki-wide cleanup of the group listings was recently done by myself and several others (including Maverick), and we posted a notice on your group's talk page WAY back on January 28th, giving you two weeks to respond with a confirmation of your activity, yet we never received a response from a member of your group. Because we were trying to contact groups in as many ways as were reasonably possible, a notice was also posted to your suburb's talk page. Your group wasn't the only one removed, of course, and we've had this conversation with a few other people already. If you'd like to see a similar discussion, you can check Maverick's talk page for some more information about how we went about removing groups.

Ironically, Maverick posted the list of groups he removed from the suburb as a courtesy to those groups, since we were unable to reach them any other way, yet you've taken to insulting him for doing so. Considering we probably spent dozens of man-hours working on cleaning up those listings on the wiki over the course of a couple weeks, and that all it takes you is five minutes of effort to add yourself back (which could have been avoided had your group simply responded within the two weeks that they were given notice), I think you have no grounds for being upset. If anything, the fact that you decided to personally attack a friend of mine with baseless accusations and childish remarks gives me reason to be upset with you.

If you have any questions, let me know, and I'll be happy to respond. Hopefully any confusion has been cleared up at this point. In the meantime, I went ahead and moved your comment to the talk page for Spicer Hills, since it was extremely POV, and that page is supposed to be NPOV. Ooops

Oh, my mistake, I thought someone was getting cute. Sorry about the head in the butt thing. Well, you're still invited to come by some bocce ball and beer. So, when I get beck into our wiki, I need to check the discussion page as well then? I think you can see our crew is really, really informal, and, well, kinda "special". We update only sporadically, however, members new and old are decidedly diligent about keeping our area clear for survivors.

Here's a question. Why was the "Groups" section eliminated from the main wiki board? That was some quality goof-off time right there ... just flippin' through groups' wiki pages. --Akdov 23:44, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Nah, there's no need to respond on your group's talk page at this point, since any "damage" that might have been done has already been done. And yep, I know you guys are informal. One of my characters went through the heart of your territory a few months back (well, technically, two of my characters did, but one is with the MOB and was only interested in eating brains, so she didn't hear you guys chatting much), and you all seemed like a nice enough bunch of folks.

As for the groups section being eliminated, do you mean on the main page of the wiki? If so, I'm afraid I don't know. If you check the Recruitment page though, you can find a lot of groups. Alternatively, Category:Groups should have most of the groups listed in it, though I'm guessing those aren't quite what you had in mind. —Aichon— 01:52, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

If you want to update danger reports for buildings in your area, don't click on the image, but rather the small (update) link in the top, right hand corner of the danger report. Then follow the instructions -- boxy ^{talk • teh rulz} 08:38 10 August 2010 (BST)

Updating news and statuses

If you think the suburb's and buildings' statuses are incorrect, like in Spicer Hills' case, feel free to change them. Remember, reports from local survivors are more appreciated than reports heard on the radio. Instead of waiting for someone to update them, you can help contribute yourself!

Also, please observe the style currently in use. Style in the suburb's Recent News section is not the same as style in the building page. If you are unsure, just copy from older entries and update them accordingly. Thank you. -- Kittithaj 18:42, 18 August 2010 (BST)
