Do you wish non-administrators to edit your signature, if not, should it be protected? --Myrtonos C @ 08:03, 23 September 2013 (BST)
- Rule of thumb, people aren't allowed to edit pages in other people's userspaces without their explicit permission. Protection usually isn't needed unless there is a threat of repeated vandalism to a userspace page, or some other extreme circumstance. -- FoD PK Praise Rando!08:14, 23 September 2013 (BST)
- I don't generally protect my user subpages because I'm pretty cool with other users making minor/adjustment edits for style reasons (see this edit as an example of one). That doesn't really extend to my signature, thought. I haven't protected that partly because it is transcluded on so many pages, so if something in it breaks and thus breaks those pages, I'd want someone to be able to deal with it right away. But yeah, unless that's happening please don't edit my signature. Thanks! Bob Moncrief EBD•W! 17:40, 23 September 2013 (BST)
