You should remove your keep vote on the "induce coma" suggestion. --Jack-Swithun 08:22, 20 Jan 2006 (GMT)

What clutter? Each thing occurs once each time you do most actions; not when you take a hit. --ALIENwolve 02:04, 27 Jan 2006 (GMT)

  • Please take a moment to read the note I put up on the Flavor Text suggestion. As you do not seem to be opposed to the idea of more flavorful text, only the specific text (word for word) that is presented in the suggestion, I believe the note is relevant to you. --Blahblahblah 01:12, 28 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Moderation

Please do not vandalize the Suggestions page. This is your first warning.--'STER-Talk-Mod 17:41, 27 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Since you vandalised three votes, you get three more warnings and are thus banned for two days. --LibrarianBrent 01:05, 12 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Daed, basically the reasons people kept writing silly comments on their Spam votes was becuase the real reasons had already been said (ie it violates the SUggestion Dos and Donts - Hiding) which IS a reason to Spam. After I and others pointed that out, we just got fed up because it IS spam and IS still there --Jak Rhee 07:22, 20 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Dont you EVER edit opthers votes on the Suggestions Page again, you are NOT a mod and you have been reported to one! --Jak Rhee 05:13, 11 Jan 2006 (GMT)

How is Makeing it fair 1 not spam? Its poorly written, wildly unbalanced, redundant to about five other things, and has no redeeming value whatsoever. --Zaruthustra 21:45, 11 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Spam doesn't need to be intentional. Anything the voter deems not worth the consideration of others can be spam voted. Its subjective, but thats why you need three of them and there is moderator arbitration. In my view (and the view of the majority of others) part 1 had absolutely no redeeming value since it changed fundamental parts of the game and wildly unbalanced things in favor of survivors. It is also redundant to about five previously made suggestions. Part 2 was also redundant to several other suggestions and made movements into large hordes of zombies impossible. It also meant small zombie groups could never leave caiger mall if they wanted to and just moving in general would get thrown off since it would be much harder to budget AP. --Zaruthustra 21:59, 11 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Also presentation is key and this author needed to do some serious proofreading. Its not directly applicable but how you lay out suggestions can effect voting. --Zaruthustra 22:03, 11 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Theres a debate on how long the minimum time for things being up should be on the talk page. You might want to hit that up and put your two cents in. --Zaruthustra 22:05, 11 Jan 2006 (GMT)
I do support spamination because everything here is at some level, and if you want on multiple levels, saved for posterity. Everything is saved in history and things should be moved to the peer rejected page when killed. Some days half the suggestions are spam, and while lessons are great we get bored of the same lessons with progressively less legible grammar every day. And at some point it makes seriously going through the suggestions queue impossible. Originally we expected people to read through previous suggestions to avoid redundancy, after that became infeasible pages were created to help with it. The regular wikizens have done a good job helping people with what they should suggest with pages like spaminated, Suggestions Dos and Do Nots, and Frequently Suggested Ideas Page. In my mind spam voting is neccesary to keep this whole system from degenerating into some impenetrable of jungle noise. Rules get changed frequently though, so the best thing to do is scan the talk page ever couple days to see if votes or discussions are up. --Zaruthustra 22:35, 11 Jan 2006 (GMT)

"Compassion" is not a valid reason to let ANY Suggestion live. Merit and Merit alone. --Jak Rhee

But that defeats the purpose of Spam votes. They are there to remove ludicrous or extremely overpowering, or awful suggestions so they dont clutter up the space. If you dont like that, propose a change in the system via the Talk page. Peoples feelings arent the point here though and you shouldnt be voting Keep on that basis.. only on the basis of you think the suggestion should be implented into the game as is. --Jak Rhee 22:16, 11 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Your right Daed. HOWEVER, when a Spammed suggestion is moved to Peer-Rejected, its text is restored for viewing. This allows it to serve as an example of what shouldnt be done, if people read that page.. and people shouldnt be making suggestions if they dont. The only point of Spamming is to remove it quickly from the main page --Jak Rhee 22:24, 11 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Just a word of fair warning, voting keep in protest to spam votes will only get you so far. Its more likely to just build a lot of ill will towards you and possibly get your votes struck out by moderators. It certainly doesn't help these ideas get passed and just creates a lot of, well, spam. Much better to try influence voting policy than saved these doomed suggestions. --Zaruthustra 08:08, 20 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Re: Search Flavor Text

I've added a page where people can suggest other bits of search flavor text, in addition to the seven-line sample included in the Suggestion. It's right over here. --John Taggart 16:57, 19 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Fencing Suggestion

It's true that crowds of 20 zombies can form all the time but consider this: survivors could kill all the zombies and while they are not standing they do not count as part of the 20. Thus a very robust suvivor defense could thwart anything but a coordinated effort to break the defenses by repeatedly killing the zombies. --Jon Pyre 18:45, 22 Jan 2006 (GMT)

Vandalism

Quite vandalising The Abandoned and Yagoton pages. If you continue we will send moderators your way. You are therefore officially warned. --Eagle of Fire
